Deaconess Midtown Hospital is an acute care facility and Level II Trauma Center. Reviews consistently praise the exceptional and friendly staff across all departments, including ER personnel, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and clerical workers, who are described as extremely helpful, kind, and professional. The care provided, especially in the ICU, receives strong appreciation.
However, significant criticisms focus on the facility and parking. The hospital is frequently described as filthy, with clear needs for more cleaning and general staff. Parking is a major issue, cited as awful and insufficient, with very few handicap spaces. The parking garage requires a long walk to the entrance, with no transit crew or shuttle available. These problems with the facility and parking contrast sharply with the highly regarded medical and clerical staff.
My Brother was in ICU since Friday and he Passed on Monday! They did a Great Job with his passing and keeping him comfortable til he went! Thank All of The ICU Unit and his Doctors! (JACK)

If you are a patient and you need to go to the restroom you have to put requests in two hours before shift change or wait for two hours after shift change. No one will help you to the restroom in that four hour window.

As a patient, I think it's absolutely ridiculous about the parking. Patients should not have to use the fifth floor in the garage! The staff needs to park where they're assigned to park and leave the spaces for patients. It took me 45 minutes to park.
