Moved away to Tennessee 12 years ago and moved back to Evansville someyears ago. I had remembered this goodwill was a well stocked store with good prices and everything was mostly neately shelved and categorized and priced like i remembered goodwill stores are supposed to be. My Grandson came to visit with me last week and we decided to go shopping goodwill stores near me. We walked into this outlet and I was totally horrified! Dirty clothes, broken scattered items, crockery. Things strewn about in huge bins like hog feeding stations. Im so disheartened and disappointed in the way this store is furbished and organized. Besides seeing the outragous way you pay to dump your purcases in a bin to pay by the pound! If this is the future of the goodwills of today, i will now find better places to donate my gently used items and find other thrift outlets that appreciate their customers to purchase from. This was a terrible experience and nearly broke my heart. I remembered this goodwill as a really nice place and now it's like a dump pit for making money off of totally free items people donated from the goodness of their hearts for charity.

I paid $40 for a small heater I ASK the woman if it i could plug it up and c if it worked she said no and guaranteed me it was fine they check it out when it comes n, I bought it like a dummy, got it home plugged it up and it made a sound I've never heard before it was loud and smoked as soon as I plugged it in, that's why she said I couldn't check it first, and nothing has a price on it they make it up as they go, this place is a total rip off, sad u scam people u r supposed to be helping, ur just helping urself, SHAME ON U 🫤 GOD DON'T LIKE UGLY

A very important item was not handed to me at checkout. Very rude and uncooperative when I called for assistance.

A reseller’s paradise! $1.99 a lb. They bring out new bins/tables throughout the day.

This is the worst GOODWILL I have ever been to in my life. Everything was in big bins. Nothing on shelves they didn't have any shelves to put things on. They had clothes, shoes, book, and a couple of what would have been good toasters all in one bin. The toasters would have probably worked but I wasn't gonna buy either one of them.

Do not donate to them! They don't help the homeless or the poor! They only care about their bottom line! They pay no taxes! Donate to the RESCUE MISSION OR AURORA or ST VINCENT DEPAUL OR ANY CHURCH CLOTHING BACK

They advertise t shirts for $1.99, but then when you get to the cashier they say they are $4.99 that only certain brands like hanes are $1.99. You can find t shirts at Walmart for $4.98 brand new. I understand this not for profit offers services for the community but their prices are getting ridiculous. The purpose of a thrift store is to also give back to the community in affordable items, they are getting all of these items for free, so there is no reason they should be charging close to retail prices. It’s getting out of control.

I used to enjoy shopping at the Goodwill Outlet, but lately, the experience has gone downhill. It’s frustrating to see groups of teenagers camping out in the store, sitting in a corner with their phones plugged in, just waiting for new bins to hit the floor. The moment fresh items come out, they rush in and grab everything as fast as possible, clearly with the intent to resell online for profit.
This takes away from the whole point of thrift shopping—finding unique, affordable items for yourself or your family. Instead, it feels like a race against resellers who have no interest in anything except flipping stuff for money. It’s disappointing to see Goodwill allowing this to happen, making it harder for regular shoppers to find anything worthwhile.
I hope management takes steps to address this issue, whether it’s limiting how long people can linger without shopping or enforcing fairer access to new items. Until then, the experience just isn’t what it used to be.

The price of itams people generally need to set up housekeeping are not affordable because someone is wanting to get RICH on donations. 😡

Goodwill has the highest prices and lowest quality of any thrift store in Evansville. Honestly, I will not donate anything to them. I would rather give it to St. Vincent or Mother Teresas treasures in Newburgh.
