I am beyond outraged. The United States Postal Service lost a birthday card I sent to my special-needs cousin — something meant to brighten his day, make him feel loved, and be a highlight of his year — and then an employee, Brandon James at the Diamond Valley USPS office, hung up on me when I called to find out what happened.
This wasn’t a bill. This wasn’t advertising mail. This was a personal, irreplaceable gesture that carried emotional weight. My cousin has limited opportunities for moments of joy like this, and thanks to USPS’s negligence, you’ve robbed him of one.
Your failure is two-fold:
You couldn’t manage to deliver a single envelope on time and intact.
Your employee, Brandon James, decided it was acceptable to hang up on me rather than provide answers or accountability.
This is especially insulting when you consider that USPS, while claiming to be self-funded, has repeatedly leaned on taxpayer dollars to stay afloat. For example:
$8.64 billion in taxpayer funds accepted during COVID-19 (linns.com)
$50 billion in financial relief in 2022, plus a $10 billion loan forgiveness (reuters.com)
More than $120 billion in total Congressional assistance since 2020 (washingtonpost.com)
$3 billion in taxpayer dollars earmarked for electric vehicle purchases (washingtonpost.com)
With this level of public support, there is absolutely no excuse for losing sentimental mail and treating paying customers with contempt.
I demand:
An immediate investigation into the whereabouts of the missing card.
Disciplinary action against Brandon James for hanging up on me and showing blatant disregard for USPS’s customer service standards.
A written apology acknowledging the loss and the unprofessional treatment I received.
If I do not get a satisfactory resolution, I will escalate this to the Postal Regulatory Commission, my congressional representatives, and every consumer advocacy group available. I will also make this story public so people know exactly how USPS — and specifically the Diamond Valley office — treats mail meant for people with disabilities and their families.
Your mishandling of this situation is unacceptable, and I expect immediate action

Would be nice if you had normal hours that work with the normal working human being. You open when we have to go to work and close when we get out. How is the normal working man supposed to do the things he needs to, and you make more money from his business, when the open hours are against him?

If I could give zero stars I would. We just moved out of state and I have confirmation of completing a change of address form. Unfortunately, our mail is not being forwarded to us by the Evansville post office. I have tried calling more than once and no one will return my calls.

I have been to this usps many times now and every single time the clerks have been very rude. I understand you may have busy jobs, but when you are in the business of customer service, you should at least attempt to be professional.

Lost my package, I was home when it says arrived, and even talked to the mailman, so it was not stolen. It's been 48 hours and sat on hold for an hour for them just to play dumb, and not be able to do anything besides say goodbye. Very terrible customer service.

I have been trying to get package mailed on 12/21 today is 12/27 it just keeps telling me the package is in Evansville,In. Nobody picks up the phone, post office steals money for priority mail and then does nothing to get our packages to the customer. Such a ripe off! This is why PO is going under and there’s no money( money stolen from seniors, disabled etc is only giving bad karma to you) I have called everywhere and no place can get me money package!! Who has heard of 7 days to receive a next day package . Plz I want my package ASAP where is it? How can you steal over 17.00 and not get package here? It was mailed on the 21st . She was told should arrive on 23 this was typo but it’s 12/27 and I do not know where my package it?!!! Thank you so very much for getting my package here asap. Also idk how the post office can keep hanging up phones and not answering to help customers. I have never been disrespected, mistreated and felt like nobody gave a damn about my feelings! The po is terrible place of business. I am disabled, crippled and s senior but I am influencer on FB, YT and I am going to tell over 95,000 people how PO stole my money, stole my package and refused to answer what happened to my package!!!

Never have a package sent usps that you need. Use a carrier that employees people that are responsible and will work like UPS. I had parts sent priority mail so that I would receive them quickly. They have been stuck in the Evansville, IN distribution center forever. I called the number for service. I was told that the package was just stuck there, oh well. Was told that nothing could be done. Could not go pick it up or anything. Was told the facility is busy and that the priority mail that was paid for, means nothing. They just don't care. My last time using a service based on the government. USPS needs to be priviatetized. How many businesses can exist with this reputation and attitude. The workers cannot be fired, so I am sure that they just don't care and call in sick about every other day. Also, it is not the time of year that is the issue. Had another package that was in September that took forever as well.
