Went here to cash a check DRAWN ON FIFTH THIRD BANK and they want 5% to cash THEIR OWN CHECK that they can verify funds fromthe business’s account for. They say this is because you aren’t a customer but if it’s drawn on your bank…. I SHOULD’T need to be!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. If I was looking for a new bank, this wouldn't help gain my business. I would actually tell anyone who was to go anywhere but Fifth Third. But hey, gotta rob people one way or another… it’s banking business. Two stars only because the tellers were nice, just following their employer’s very ridiculous and outdated polices.

Do not try to cash a check drawn on this bank if you don't have an account with them. If you do have an account, close it and use a better bank. You shouldn't be charged a fee to cash a check drawn on the bank. They also create a profile for you with your personal information before they inform you they want a percentage. It seems no one knows how to remove that profile. The myriad of terrible reviews is well earned for this bank.

The worst experience I could have had. I transposed 2 digits when paying my mortgage. I went into the bank on 4 separate occasions and they told me I had indeed paid, they just haven't posted it. They finally showed me I was off by 300 dollars after continuously telling me I was paid and all was good. They will not remove a late payment from my credit report because the computer shows I was late despite never missing a payment with them for 15 years. Go to Huntington or Key or Star if you want a decent regional bank. I would bank at Chase or one of the big guys as their default position is the customer is wrong and deserves no investigation or explanation.--- Update 3/22/2022After a call (see below) as requested. I was told that even though the bank told me I paid the correct amount and they have record I came into the bank to remedy it and they waived the late fee and they told me I had paid but it hadn't posted, the transposition was my fault so they would not help me. And it took 26 minutes for them to tell me they would not help me. I guess they got me back for posting this review. Again - Go to Huntington, Key or Star if you want regional small banking.

This bank literally can not do any basic service that every other bank does. Ran out of checks and needed a check for my contractor, rushed here in between conference calls to be told told they don't do counter checks. EVERY OTHER BANK DOES THIS AS A BASIC SERVICE. No wonder their rating is an overall 2.

Absolute worst bank! Go somewhere else! Horrible customer service and practices no other bank treats customers this way! Local branch staff are so kind and it's not their fault. Adds insult to injury that you have to hear them say "we are doing banking a 5/3 better" every time. They are not. App doesn't show running balance. No overdraft grace. THEY CHARGE YOU EVERY SINGLE DAY REPEATEDLY for an overdraft AND they do not do automatic overdraft notifications. Every single other major bank does this! Had a mix up with a large vacation purchase and company charged wrong card. Didn't know until was declined a few days later for another purchase. Then saw had been charged over one hundred dollars DAILY REPEATEDLY. Had NEVER had an overdraft ever on this account and they would not refund the fees. Customer service manager at 800# was rude, interrupted multiple times. Yet their local branch team will call you multiple times trying to get you to add more services through them. Do not give these crooks your business! Huntington Bank down the road is AMAZING. They had 24 hr overdraft grace, early direct deposit access, and are just awesome.

This branch is horrible they messed up several times on a name change couldn't even send the right card. They don't even answer the phone. Switching banks soon.

I have been with Fifth Third Bank since 2009 and I do not ever plan on banking anywhere else. Recently, I went into this branch and spoke with Zack regarding an alert on my account, which turned out to be nothing. I was very impressed with Zack and his professionalism, he has since then helped me with a new credit card and we are working on a car loan also. Anytime I have any questions with my account I call him. He's extremely helpful and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this bank to anyone!

The branch is nice enough but this bank as a whole is stuck in the 1980's. Online banking is terrible, customer service through Cincinnati call center is full of rude helpless people who have no authority. Due to terrible security, they allowed my mother to have over $40,000 stolen from her but now that we uncovered that for them, they have effectively locked my 70 year old mother out of all of her accounts. Need to make a change in your phone number? 30 day wait before you can then use online banking again. No warning about that when you do it, just locked out, good luck. All that is with a "Preferred customer" of over 20 years and substantial deposits. The only way her kids can help is to roll the wheelchair and oxygen tank out and drag her to the branch. Do yourself a favor skip 5/3 and go to Chase.

This bank has no customer service at all. One star only because I had too. Fifth Third Bank as a whole totally sucks. I strongly recommend using any other bank.
