I used to be very happy with this branch.I had a checking account and never had issues.
Fast forward to now, I needed a joint account with my minor son for custodial purposes. I was told it had to be savings without documentation but was told at any time I could open a checking account with proper documentation and that transfers could be easily done between banks. The day before my son’s back pay was set to deposit, I was told his account had been closed due to no deposit being made in 60 days. That was fine, although that should have been stated at the time it was opened and it wasn’t. I opened a new custodial account and I’ve had nothing but issues since. Not only can I not transfer funds to any of my outside banks, today I went in to open a checking account specifically so I could have immediate access to the funds. The lady teller, who I wasn’t doing business with originally stood and listened while I explained my predicament to the teller I was opening the account with and tried to tell me that I wouldn’t be able to transfer funds, even with opening a checking account, even though I was told both times when opening the custodial accounts that I could transfer funds. When the man I was working with confirmed that information was wrong, the lady went back to her business. However, she and the manager have both been making this whole process difficult for me and today, they were standing near by whispering and I only caught a few words, which seemed to be geared towards me. It was very unprofessional, in my opinion. I still tried to ignore it and go about my business.
At the end of the process, I asked for an ATM card, as I had just heard this lady make a temporary card for someone who opened a new account yesterday. So I know it is possible, the guy who was helping me even said it was. However this lady was the only one who could do it so I was asked to step aside and wait. She confirmed what I needed, started the process and then I was informed I wasn’t allowed to have an atm card bc my custodial account was less than 30 days old. I was mind blown, especially since she had literally just helped someone else who had a newer account than me with no issues. I asked how I was supposed to have immediate access to the money bc when I talked about opening the checking account, I stressed how important it was that I have some kind of debit card immediately available or I was going to have to withdraw the cash and close the account, bc physically having to go into a branch every day, several times a day when I need money isn’t feasible, she claimed she had no idea that’s why I needed the checking account or she would have told me it wasn’t possible. Yet, she stood there and listened to the entire conversation between me and the male teller and knew what the situation was. I am very dissatisfied with the management of this particular branch but Tristan and the male teller I dealt with today(I wish I knew his name) were great and they are probably the only ones I will ever choose to deal with. Otherwise, I will find a new branch rather than be talked about and have road blocks put up on me every time I need access to my funds. It’s just got too ridiculous, the amount of stress I’ve dealt with in these last few weeks.

Was a customer for 3 years, and thought it was a good place to do business. During that time I had few problems arise. When I did, they failed miserably.
They do not answer the phone. You must leave a message and they call you at their convenience, not yours.
Fees are higher than other banks.
They do not accept coin nor have a coin counter.
I could not add another user to my account without making an appointment. Guess how you make an appointment? You call, but you have to leave a message and wait.
I needed a doc notarized but guess what? Had to make an appointment . Did I mention how you make an appointment? I just paid the fee at UPS for a service Huntington should have provided.
I moved out of the area and am with a different bank and now Huntington's failures are far more apparent. At my new bank, fees are 1/4 what they were at Huntington. They have a coin counter in the branch. Even deposits are far quicker and easier at the new bank. They have a notary on site and I don't need an appointment. When I call, I get a person.
I have been trying to close my account for over a month. I have made 7 phone calls. Three resulted in misinformation. Most were not returned. Meanwhile, my account is racking up monthly banking fees.
Was told I could close over the phone since I am nowhere near a Huntington. In 3 calls to a corporate customer service #, I have not been able to do this, and have been given different information on each call.
One of the calls instructed me to call the branch and speak to the manager. The first time, manager was on vacation. Apparently they have no plans for anyone to perform duties in place of manager because no one could help, and the manager did not call back after vacation.
On 11/17/24 I left a voicemail at the branch explaining the troubles I've faced so far. No one has returned my call 9 days later.
As much as I enjoyed the people at the branch, these failures have left a very bad taste- so much that I felt others should be forewarned.

Poor customer service. 2 employees were sitting in offices and 3 standing behind the counter. No one acknowledged us until we finally decided to leave. We went straight over to Chase bank and got helped immediately.

This place is running like a McDonald’s. Don’t recommend this branch or bank. I will close my account based on the customer services I received. Every time I’m there to notarize a document or something they have an excuse. I’m the Only person in line for a deposit and they have one employee( old lady) rude and lacks the knowledge of how to deal with clients. Was there in another occasion for a CD and What’s funny is that they always have an excuse. Just avoid this place go to a local credit union. This place is not worth your money.
For management over haul your current staff or train them to meet expectations and hold them accountable!

I stopped by for a cashier's check and to add my wife as a signor to a business account. We were the only customers in the branch or in the drive thru. They were too busy to take the five minutes to handle this request while both of us were standing in the building. They said we would need to make an appointment to come back. I saw three people in the cubicles but none were able to take a few minutes? The rest of my business accounts are with Chase and I've never walked out of a Chase branch without such a simple request being taken care of on the spot. I'm honestly stunned at this level of customer service. Use caution if you are looking to move you business accounts to this branch. Your time does not seem to be valued. I'll amend this review if there is an appropriate response to my concerns.

wish I could give a 0! this location isn't concerned about customer service. understaffed, only one person at the front desk and one in drive through, lines are very long. after waiting for a long time in line they told me I had to wait longer so they could "get the line down" be what I needed takes a bit longer. even though I had already waited my turn in the long line. then when the "banker" on site was available she loudly told the teller that she wasn't sure she could help me even though she could see I was sitting in the lobby waiting on help. they didn't want to help me because it was inconvenient to deal with a more complicated issue. other issue is that Huntington doesn't give me a warning when they suspect fraudulent activity and puts a hold on my card!

This Huntington, and the company as a whole, is an absolute joke. My family has had our money here for over a decade, but no more. We're moving it all out. I recently met with a banker and the manager and tried to get my rate on a money market updated to what they offer new customers. To get their best rates you need to bring in more than, $25,000 of "new money" aka money that is not from a Huntington account. Asked them how long I needed to stand outside with a check for it to count as new money and was asked if I wanted to close my account in more words than that. Hey, no problem. They will wring their hands and say that they advocated for you or put in complaints. Remember that they work there and will not rock the boat or bite the hand that feeds for you.Do yourself a favor and check out one of the local banks in the area. Bank of Indianapolis is right across the street and Lake City is a bit west but they both seem to actually want customers. I am getting 10 times per month what I got per year in interest at a competitor on my money market after moving with no promotional hoops. Not an exaggeration. Shop around, you won't be back.

I concluded all business with this establishment today. Wasted almost an hour in the branch and still didn't get done what I needed to. I have sent multiple international wires from this branch in the past with no issues. Today I was berated by the person helping me that I didn't bring in the wire instructions that I have used in the past. Every other time I never needed it and the information was readily available. After she found the wire instructions she refused to transfer money between my two accounts. Closing all my accounts here.

The Drive through is painfully slow. I waited in line 30 minutes. If you are going to shut the lobby, please have more people working the drive through more efficiently.

This Huntington is over paranoid sometimes it takes them over a week to cash a check. It's severely sick that they are doing that during the virus time. They don't care about any of their customers at this time I believe they are holding back on checks because they are low on cash.
