Save your money and go somewhere else. Since MyEyDr. acquired Sweet-Obenauf a couple of years ago the customer service has become absolute trash. The front office is particularly rude and astonishingly incompetent. Do not rely on them to give you accurate information about coverage and benefits prior to your appointment. They will give you inaccurate and misleading information before your appointment which will result in surprise charges and forfeiture of benefits. If you do find yourself at this unfortunate place, demand a printed and itemized estimate of all charges (including implications around the timing of your glasses and contacts purchases) before a single finger comes near your eyeballs. But honestly, just take your time, energy, and cash elsewhere. Zero stars.

Really disappointed and after so many years of great service! I left messages for my dr. I wanted to be fair and explain to her why we’re leaving but no return call. So, I resorted to a review to warn others:My daughter showed up for her annual exam. The manager told her that dilation or optimap is required, EVERY year! That is not true according to my doctor there! So, She called me on her cell & ask him to speak w me. He wouldn’t talk to me on her phone & demanded I call the main number. At this point, I’m shocked & call immediately! He budges by saying “she can ask the dr directly for an exception”. I told her to cancel her appt & leave immediately. I trusted them enough to send my kids independently! They used to take such good care of us:(

So comfortable here. Everyone was professional and helpful. Great selection of frames and they take all insurance HIP and Medicaid. This is for the Lantern Rd Fishers office only.

Excellent and fast service! Stopped in to get two glasses repaired and was out of there in no time! No need to procrastinate until two of your glasses go out, stop in today!

My Eye Doctor (Lantern Rd, Fishers IN) is awesome! Dr. Obenauf is the best with so much experience and such a caring personality. Jessica, Julie, and Courtney are terrific when assisting with the selection of new glasses (from selecting frames to deciding among so many lens options). Jessica truly went above and beyond to help with her knowledgable, friendly nature! I would highly recommend this office for all optometry needs!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sweet and Dr. Obenauf since I was a child. I now bring my own children but after our visit yesterday we are looking for a new practice not associated with My Eye Dr. The family owned practice was amazing and knowing the staff and doctors was a huge perk. Since this practice sold out to My Eye Dr most of our favorite staff is gone and replaced with disgruntled people. The glasses area is a mess similar to the glasses section at a big box store. The wait for my appointment was over an hour and a half. Which I understand everyone is understaffed but a simple apology for the delay would have been appreciated. Staff was not friendly and this is such a big shift from before. Why I decided to write a review was in billing. The person helping me was clearly sick and wiping her running nose on her hands. Pre-pandemic this is unacceptable but in current times, it’s revolting. We are sad to leave Sweet-Obenauf after so long with the practice but this is just another price-gouging, money before care, doctor’s office.

I've been going here for 10+ years and LOVE Dr Obenauf. She recently switched over to MyEye Dr managing her practice and since then I have hated every interaction I have had with the office staff. The front desk girl has been extremely rude on multiple occasions. Every time I would call about contacts, scheduling, etc they would have the wrong information. My most recent visit (which was about a year ago since I have now switched eye doctors) I was forgotten in the exam room for over an hour. I had to physically go out there and remind them I was still there. The office manager was a joke. Not sure if they have changed staff since then but I hope so! Loved her old stuff!

I am writing a review on my sons account. I have been going to this eye doctor for several years and I had an appointment today and I called them yesterday and told them I did not have insurance and how much would it be and they told me 99.00 dollars then they had me do another test that I know is 39.00 and when I checked out they told me I had a 43.00 dollar charge from 2020 which I never received a bill from them. When I had to pay the bill they did not give me a discount like they said they would! It amazes me that a charge from 2020 you would not send a bill! Ever since MyEyeDoctor bought the business it is terrible! When you talk to somebody on the phone they act like they have no clue. I am going to have to look for another place.Keith Webb

Unbelievable that this place still requires masks on July 6th, 2021, claiming that they’re ‘following CDC (communistic) guidelines’. I wonder if these employees wear masks in grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Someone needs to inform them that #1. it’s no longer CDC guidelines. Schools, restaurants, grocery stores no longer require masks, 2. they are just exactly that: guidelines; not rules or law, #3. wearing masks is actually unhealthy for you!
