The Shirley Brothers team did an outstanding job during a very difficult time. My father's passing was not planned and swift; therefore, I made a first call to Jim Shirley early in the morning and from that point forward, I had nothing to worry about. They immediately onboarded my father and setup a convenient time for me to come in to their Fishers location to meet with Alan and work out the details. Alan was very professional, while being down to earth and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. There was absolutely no pressure for any services, he tactfully captured my father's wishes and handled all the rest. The people at Shirley Brothers are amazingly caring and their facilities and services are top-notch with very competitive pricing. I highly recommend partnering with this provider if you're pre-planning or taking care of a loved one.

I have the utmost respect and gratitude for Shirley Brothers. In 2016 my son died unexpectedly. We did not have life insurance at the time and they were very kind, understanding and easy to work with. They worked with us and in 3 weeks we had the balance paid. They treated my family very well. I would highly recommend their mortuary. The circumstances of my sons death were very painful, they were very kind and considerate.

Fantastic people to work with. They exceeded our expectations and anticipated our needs before we knew we would need them.

We used Shirley Brothers for both of my grandparents in the early 2000's. In December of 2017 we lost our mom and there was no question as to who we would entrust with her care. Shirley Brothers was very professional and caring. Jim Shirley is the best! Thank you to all for you love and care.

This started out to be an acceptable experience UNTIL . . . I chose Shirley Brothers because my family has used them since my great grandmother's arrangements back in the 1970's. My advice is to be wary of making emotional decisions right after your loved one passes away!!! The funeral counselor was very good at telling us that "cost" was not a main concern at this time and that they would ensure financial means even though MY FAMILY told them that our loved one was not able to pay thousands of dollars. He was kinda "slick" actually I felt like I was buying a car. . . Even though the funeral was at our church the cost ended out being out of our means. After we paid almost 8,000 we still owed them about $150.XX. A few months later I called to discuss my balance and they (Shirley) did not recall telling us that "It would work out and be okay" as far as money. I ask that they write off the last $150.XX and their answer was a letter explaining their fees and how they are justified in the funeral industry. And that I still OWED them 150.XX. I felt lied to and then to add insult to injury I was called a liar in regards to the discussion referenced on the day we had made my mothers funeral arrangements. Nice and compassionate, right? In the end we paid the final bill but I will never go here or trust them with any of my loved ones again. EVER !!!!

Shirley Brothers had the nerve to hand us our bill right before the burial. Don't use this service. Very rude.
