They have been very accommodating in their availability for donation drop offs. I like that they are particular - it actually helps me sort out what to do with things. I can tell they truly care about providing nice things to their clients.

The workers were extremely friendly and informative about their mission. I actually enjoyed having them be here.Pick up scheduling was easy and timely; I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about. My guess is during covid lots of people started cleaning out their houses and Mustard Seed's workers had trouble coping with the high demand?Either way, my donation was in Feb 2022 and again, I couldn't have had a better experience.

This last person Cortez Navarro has no clue what their talking about at all and their client didn't receive junk that's worse than furniture you would find at Goodwill. Maybe had the agent did their "JOB" and showed up at their clients residence the day of the delivery for a follow-up then the delivery of what he claims as "JUNK" furniture would of never been delivered and the issue would of probably been fixed right then and there!!! Not to mention all the recent positive reviews that I see from the past 2 years, so it sounds like to me you've never worked with other furniture banks around Indianapolis that help out people that are in need!?!? Because I've personally heard nothing but bad things about the condition of furniture other organizations give out.

After hearing so much about the wonders of this program, I looked forward to referring clients who were in need of assistance. That was the worst mistake I could have ever made. Not only is the fee for delivery and referral fee sky high - the furniture that they delivered to the client should have been placed in a dumpster. The furniture they provided was JUNK!! Run from this place as it is a total rip off. We could have done better going to the Goodwill and getting what the client needed. Even though our clients are in need does not mean that they are willing to take old and musty furniture. I have a three letter word for this furniture bank ripoff - RUN!!!!

I needed to donate a mattress and bed frame for a move and The Mustard Seed was one of only a few places that would take these items in Indianapolis. Not only were the female schedulers absolutely wonderful, but the men who came to move my bed were incredibly friendly and so quick. They made donating furniture fun! Seriously cannot recommend them enough!!!!

Had two end tables two lamps a three seat recliner couch and a twin pillow top brand new beautyrest mattress to donate to them. Was even going to thrown in the $50 donation and have them come pick everything up. Their website says that they are in need of sofas and couches and mattresses except for king size. So I send them pictures of what I'm going to donate and then they send back a reply saying that they were not going to be able to pick up the couch due to the size. It's a three-seat couch which is standard couch size, and then they asked if we were still going to donate? Seriously? You're getting free furniture and you're not even going to make the effort to come out and get it , unlike what your website says? I have two other organizations that are willing to come out and gladly accept the donations. I am not very impressed with this organization, especially since I've dealt with several others, this one has to be at the bottom of the list! I would seriously reconsider using them because if they're this lazy on getting the dotations ,I wonder how lazy they are at giving them out! From what I read from other reviews, I see I'm not the only one questioning this poorly ran organization.Update: called habitat for humanity off of West Washington Street and they were able to schedule to come out and pick up everything free of charge within 5 days! So if you have donations use them and forget mustard seed!!!!

I see most of the reviews are about donating. I wonder if anyone has been pleased with their donation process. I tried to go through the website, their Facebook, email and phone calls to get help with getting furniture and after promising to help me on 3 or 4 separate occasions they just started ignoring me instead. They said they would call me back a few times to help but they never did and when I called and emailed again they just ignored and I believe blocked me on Facebook. Seemed to be a short staffed place that has become desensitized to us "lower" people who are in need. It's very disappointing because I see this all the time. People in need do not have as many options and so because beggars cannot be choosers we have to put up with being treated as if we matter less and sometimes literally beg for help until you are unfortunately sometimes forced to give up. If anyone knows of a good way to go about getting free furniture assistance please let me know!

I waited 3 weeks for a pick up to finally be scheduled. On that day I had the mattress & box springs moved outside to make it easier. Nobody ever showed up. When I contacted Mustard Seed via email at 4:30 I was told the truck was full and pick up for donation would have to be rescheduled, no apology, no offer to pick up next day, nothing. Received a phone message the next day to "schedule pickup", again no apology. I have left two voicemails and sent additional emails. It is still outside, three days later, waiting for pick up only a couple miles away from 121st street location. Makes you wonder how many other nice items are not being picked up for people who need them.
