This specific VCA location is the best I’ve ever been to. I moved to this area from the Southside. There are many VETs that I’ve visited but Dr. Jameson is a true animal lover. She genuinely cares about our son. Amy (vet assistant) was fantastic as well.

When my wife and I receive medical care for ourselves we compare it to the quality of care our dogs have for years consistently received here. We've been through an aging pet and puppy, the puppy now aging, and business challenges such as COVID and recent renovations. It's always the same story: exceeds expectations. Bring your pets here and find out why.

The staff are friendly and professional. They show a great concern for the well-being of my dogs every time I bring them in.The facility is clean and well maintained. If you're looking for a vet to start bringing your pet to, I recommend them.

BEWARE. I had been taking my cat here since 2018. Didn’t really have any feeling other than just neutral. Care seemed fine. We took her in for her annual wellness/update shots this past dec. and vet recommended out of left field that she has such bad gingivitis that she’d likely need at least 2 if not all teeth extracted (she’s a 4/5 year old cat aka young) and also recommended “explorative surgery” to see the underlying cause of the gingivitis. Her vet, Dr. Mercer, wrote in her chart that she has level 1 gingivitis (aka the most MILD level)...Real head scratcher when you see that and her tx rec and I have no vet training or education.Knowing my cat had been the heaviest she’s ever been and never skips meals and had been playing and acting fine, I thought it was a bizarre and extreme recommendation. I took her to a smaller practice (which I recommend as these corp owned clinics love to make $$$$) and they recommended a teeth cleaning if we wanted to but that her gingivitis is not impacting her quality of life right now as mild as it is. Also, the second opinion said explorative surgery is not indicated with this scenario which is disturbing that VCA was suggesting it. The 2nd opinion vet clinic was very confused and shocked at what they read in her chart from the dec visit.Long story short: based on my experience and others on here, it seems this place no longer puts the pet first. Or maybe it was a lack of experience/understanding on the staff’s part with her presentation/their recommendations (which is also disturbing as we’re talking about mild gum disease here so can’t imagine if my cat had a legit problem I brought her in for). Thinking about the possibility that I would’ve let them pull all my girl’s teeth when it wasn’t necessary makes me angry and I don’t want other people blindly trusting this place. When you get a recommendation for major procedures or if something doesn’t seem right, ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION.To the social media manager: if you want to pull the “we have no record of your pet it must’ve been a different place”, I’ll happily post her chart in here

Five stars to the ladies we came in contact with ie the receptionists/techs but the Vet who handled our beautiful Labs case was woefully unprofessional. Dr.James made us feel like we were the worst dog parents, that had left our boy suffering while excusing the behavior of a Vet that we had taken our dog to prior to VCA. That Vet did not do his due diligence and while the awful outcome for our boy Boss may not have been different we could have made the decision to end his suffering much sooner if we had been given the correct diagnosis from the start. Compassion and sensitivity are vital in this work. Perhaps a different line of work is warranted.

We had the misfortune of having our beloved dog fall ill, requiring 24-hour monitoring and very acute treatment. Our family vet referred us to VCA, where we received the most thorough care imaginable. Despite their every effort, we were forced to make the extremely painful decision to end our dog's pain. The staff and veterinarians at VCA were wonderful throughout this process, taking time to explain everything thoroughly while we suffered through this nightmarish situation. If your pet needs urgent care, I can't say enough about how well we were treated.

we took my great dane puppy here because he wasn’t doing good. seizures, no appetite, vomiting. they didn’t even run blood work and didn’t say anything abt it and never called us back. we found out from another vet he has kidney failure and they don’t think he’s going to make it. we paid almost $2000 for them to do absolutely nothing.

Dr, Mercer is so great. The other staff is also just as great. We will continue to go there for veterinary services.

I took my dog there Sunday February 27. Upon check in I informed them that my dog had fell on the ice last week and she wasn’t herself since. They took her back to be examined. The vet tech called me and I explained the situation again.( They would not allow me to stay with my dog) Then shortly after the dr called me and I explained again. The dr called back and said he wanted to do 900 dollars in tests and X-rays for pyometra. I declined and took her to our vet on Monday. Upon his examination she had pulled a muscle in her neck! I would stay clear of this place!!!!! It is evident they did not exam her. I have been in contact with them with no results to my complaint. Ps after visiting my vet she is doing much better with some anti inflammatory medicine. STAY AWAY THEY ARE CROOKS!!

If you are looking for a groomer they have just hired Emil. I have been getting my King Charles Cavalier Spaniel groomed by Emil for about a year at another location. Fantastic work you will thank me later for finding you a terrific groomer.

We've been clients for 10+ years. We've been sensing that we've been increasingly nickel and dimed every times the dogs need anything over the course of the last couple years (ever since Dr. Hubner left), and this morning's experience is the final one we'll be having with them. On Dec 22 we scheduled a first grooming appt at VCA for 7:30 this morning (Jan 10). 3 weeks passed since we made that appointment. We got a text Friday at 4 that they have to have 180 dollars worth of doggy flu shots to get groomed. They had 3 weeks to tell us that but didn't. So I called this morning before dropping off and was told they also need exams!! Add 69 dollars per dog (Both of our dogs have been seen there within the last 4 months). I asked them to waive these requirements for this appt because the dogs really need groomed and the notice is far too short. They wouldn't do it. Looks like we now need a new groomer and a new vet! I can't find anywhere online to file a complaint and seek a resolution, and this morning's phone conversation ended with a condescending sing-songy "Ok ma'am, have a nice day," so google review it is!! And I see on other reviews that public retort is how they address complaints- these are clients whose contact information they have if they wanted to resolve issues.

Much of my positive opinion of this vet office was formed by my experiences with them first when one of my cats suddenly became very ill and had to be put to sleep and second when my other cat was sick with some complex issues and the staff used quite a bit of patience to fix them. I've brought my cats to this office since 2007 and would not want to go anywhere else. Between routine visits, sick visits, dealing with test results, getting one cat on a special food, etc., the staff has always tried to communicate with me calmly and compassionately. I love that they put my cat's name on their board in the entranceway when he has an appointment (well, they used to, but COVID put an end to that for now, as patient 'parents' aren't allowed inside the building). They have had some turnover of veterinarians over the years, and one of the vets explained to me why once. I won't get into particulars, as I don't know the truth or fiction of what she told me. But it appears that this being a chain of corporate-owned vet offices has a big, sometimes negative impact on how employees there are compensated. Despite this, the staff is very dedicated to what its does and truly enjoys its little furry patients. The only real negative I have seen, which one vet freely admitted to, is there's often a lack of communication between the individual VCA vet offices and the VCA emergency hospital off 96th Street in Fishers. I experienced this firsthand a year ago, and it's something I hope they've worked on. In the end, I trust this VCA office with the well-being of my little guy, who does more than just share my apartment. He's my best buddy, and they take good care of him. I can't ask for much more than that.

Dr. Cross and his entire team was excellent during the care and surgery of our Gizmo. We cannot say enough amazing things about all they have done for us. We are so grateful to them for everything they did for Gizmo and our family! Thank you so much Dr. Cross and team!

Great vet. Horrible company. Over charges often and the VCA Care club is not transferable between locations. Ie you move you're screwed.... that should be their slogan. We decided to pay the month to month until the recent year of care club was paid off, but our card had to be changed and we didn't know that care club was on it. It wasn't until two months of unpaid "services" did they make actual effort to get ahold of me. After that they had charged $50 per late fee. So their real intent was to make an extra $100 bucks then when explaining the issue to the location. They said I'd I wanted to attempt to get a refund on the late fees the. I would have to call another number. Very disappointed. You should help a small vet family company instead of this corporate greed machine. Very disappointed because the vet came highly recommended. And they were the one that encouraged the care club.
