My wife and I scheduled appointments back to back for convenience. I wake up to a voicemail from Dylan informing me they've cancelled my appointment because I did not confirm my appointment. I didn't receive a single text message or email asking me to confirm. Of course, in 2024 Dylan couldn't PICK UP THE PHONE to call me and confirm my appointment or even use some simple logic seeing that my wife and I had appointments together. Instead, he called me to let me know they gave my appointment to somebody else.

Today I came to Visionworks to renew my prescription and get an eye exam. I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment but I was able to get started right away. Anaya did my pre-exam and she was great! She was very personable and efficient with the tests. The two receptionists at the front desk were very kind and welcoming. They both went out of their way to accommodate us and make personal conversations with us while we waited in the lobby. I was able to order new contacts and find glasses in a style that I really liked. My one problem with my appointment and my reason for docking a star is because, after I got my pupils dilated, I was told to wait in the lobby until the optometrist called me back to the office again. I waited a good 20-25 minutes before the receptionist told me that the optometrist already checked the dilations and I could leave. I was a little upset that I wasted all that time for no reason. Overall, I had a pretty good experience at Visionworks and I am happy that I found an optometrist's office that works for me!

I have never made a post on yelp before but today is the day. Starting off I will admit I should have confirmed my appointment, I am in the wrong for not doing that. Now for the part I don't get. I had an appointment at 1:15pm and the day before my appointment I received a voicemail saying that my apportionment has been given to someone else because I did not confirm. I called to see what is happening and they confirmed that they cancelled my appointment and gave it to someone else. I made this appointment almost a month ago and because I did not confirm it they gave it to somebody else the day before??? On top of that they told me they have an opening at 2pm that same day. Why could they not have given that appointment to the other person instead of giving them mine. All in all let this be a warning, if you plan on going here make sure you confirm your appointment or they will give it to somebody else.

Someone said it earlier. Love the doctor, she’s the best! The rest of the staff though are super flaky.

Scheduled our appointment one day before and were able to get an appointment no problem. Had a great experience from the first check in, to the exam itself, to the great Doctor Cheng who made my wife feel at ease and super comfortable through the whole process. What a fabulous team!

Don't forget to confirm your appointment even though they don't ask you to confirm your appointment lol Gonna try a new eye doctor now even though I've been going there for years

The most unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced. Not sure if there's any training required but it sure doesn't show! All workers were standing at the desk and having loud, non-work related conversations. As a customer service manager, behavior like that would be stopped on day one of employment. I do care to hear about how drunk a worker is going to be for new years... have those conversations on your breaks. Where is the structure for the employees? Do they not have other tasks to be completing instead of just standing around? As for scheduling, I was helped with my initial exam but had to wait in the lobby for 30 minutes before I decided to just leave. There was no communication on where the doctor was or why they were running late. My appointment had already been pushed back an hour, which I only found out by text on the day of and pushed around my personal schedule. Please do better!!

I went in for a pair of safety glasses with side shields because my company has a contract with them. They told me where the section was. All of the safety glasses had dirt all over them, it was clear they have never been cleaned or sanitized. I picked out a pair and went to check out and was told that they were not safety glasses. Then they asked their coworker who said 'read the lens, they are safety glasses'. Then came the checkout process. They said that they have no idea how to add side shields to the order and that 'I can write a note, but the lab usually ignores those and doesn't send them'. They also told me the safety glasses I picked out don't have side shields, even though they clearly have built in clips to attach them to the frames, apparently they have never heard of detachable side shields in their life. They also had no idea how to process a company voucher even though the plan number is written on it. There is an obvious lack of training.

When my kids where younger, I brought them all here for service. It was an okay experience. I'm only bringing my youngest now and she's been here twice. I decided to try it out once and had a horrible experience.I purchased a pair of glasses. When I picked them up, the left eye was off. So bad, it made me dizzy to wear them. The person helping tried to fix it by manipulating the frame. I walked out with them but brought them back. I assumed the prescription was recorded wrong and gave them a copy of my ophthalmologist prescription to mill me a new set of lenses. The new set was improved but still off. I gave up and went back to my old glasses. Now the final straw. I booked my youngest an appointment via the website (which REALLY needs to be refactored...it's clumsy, clunky, and a poor user experience) for 11:30. I did this at least seven days in advance. Two hours before the appointment I get a call that the appointment was given away because I never confirmed. Oh...okay.After the call, I checked my mobile's inbox and spam folder. Nothing! I checked my gmail address (my default address for signing up) and its spam folder. Nothing. Hmmm...Oh wait...one minute before the cancellation call, there was a call I missed because I was unable to answer. Was that the confirmation call?I don't know. Who cares? I booked my kid at another optometrist that at least has a well-done, robust website.

I've been here a few times, but this time might be my last unfortunately. I loved the doctor, don't get me wrong, if you don't mind the, (I hate my job) vibes from the front desk, then this is the place for you. I just like it when people are professional, punctual, and show some sort of enthusiasm about helping you.

Terrible customer service and I was only there 5 minutes. Pretty rough vibe when you walk in, welcomed with, " do you have an appointment?!"

Moving forward, I would not recommend that specific location. There is no need to make an appointment when they give your appointment away with no remorse, empathy. The hospitality is horrible. They need to learn to improve the culture and stay focused on effective communication and clientele treatment instead of shift blaming and avoiding their mistakes. The general manager needs to be an emotionally intelligent LEADER who knows how to handle challenges, difficult conversations, and doing so with some class. Mary was very unprofessional and rude. Not only did she take a personal call, instead of taking the time to correct or attempt an apology to the consumer, she ignored interaction at all. Furthermore, she hung up on my husband, who made the appointment the second time. The first time Mary, an assistant and the doctor were just standing around and didn't even attempt to answer the phone. The third time Mary tried to gaslight both my husband and myself. She seemed bothered to have to deal with people. She would rather just sit around doing nothing. Mary is an individual filled with diffusion of responsibility. The worst customer service or lack thereof.

This has been the most efficiently managed and genuinely helpful optometrist I've ever visited in Fishers. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and ease of appointment setting make Visionworks the place to go for glasses and contacts here in town, in my opinion!
