On Jan 21st, 2025… two African-American boys entered the store after school and approached the first register they saw, which had a small toy (squeak for assistance)) they squeaked it 2 times!!!!!! And was not displaying ((((a lit-up sign for assistance. ))) not ONE of the registers displayed a lit up sign for assistance. …The boys were looking for help and attempted to use the register's toy to signal for assistance.
At that time, an employee who was stationed at a different register, (((located further down the aisle by the wall))), noticed the boys and addressed them. The employee (mean old lady) informed them in a stern manner that they needed to come to her register instead. The situation escalated when the employee instructed the boys to go to the end of the aisle, making the interaction feel public and uncomfortable for the two individuals involved, especially as it took place in front of other customers in the store.
The manner in which the employee addressed the boys may have been perceived as demeaning or disrespectful. The boys, likely unaware of the expected procedure given that the registers were not lit up, (which they did quietly verbalize to each others))were left feeling uncomfortable and singled out. I will never shop at another Dollar General. There has been too many times that I have seen too much disrespect in those stores.

Lady at the register was rude and wouldn't allow me or my daughter to use the restroom when I had stuff I wanted to buy for my kids birthday. If you can't be a decent human then you won't get my business.

The store was trashed. Garbage and boxes all over the floor. Inventory carts were blocking shelves on one entire row and I could get to what we needed, you can hardly walk through the isles. Shelves were clutter and in organized. I was very disappointed and will go out of my way to go to a different store.

Awful customer service, I asked an employee if they have puppy pads in stock. Her response is “I don’t know I’m not allowed to check the back.” I asked her if they typically carry them, her response “ I don’t know.” I’ve never heard of an employee not being allowed to check for product, sounds like a lazy excuse to me.

Good store but it is much too crowded. Why do keep moving everything around? Makes it hard to drop in for a quick purchase.

Easy in and out. Clean store and well stocked. Has various items including groceries for very good prices. Especially good for cleaning supplies for home. Good prices there as well. Always friendly service which is always a good thing. Must try if in the Area.
