If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First, we had to wait for over two hours to pick up our rental because only one person was working. Then gave our car away that we reserved three weeks ago to somebody who reserved one that day when they walked in. Then charged us more than what our car was worth because of a fee they told us about after the fact. Horrible place and never using them again ever ! Worst first experience.

If I could give a zero I would. The customer service is awful the guy working today couldn't of cared less for the inconvenience that myself and another customer reserved a car and they were out of cars but never notified. This is not the first time they canceled on me wont be back

There's only 1 person out front, which can take forever to pick up or return. Usually it's not that big of a deal, but when you wear 3 guys talking about politics and their hobbies in the back room, and I'm waiting 20mins to just take keys, I'm a premiere member, it's ridiculous. Maybe take care of your customers???

We were scheduled to pick our vehicle and the reservation was canceled minutes before we got there. When trying to schedule a new reservation, no vehicles were available, even though there were multiple cars in the lot. I recognize that some vehicles may have to be cleaned and serviced but tgis completely impacts my travels. The employees were rude and vaping the store in front of customers. Completely unacceptable.

My recent experience at the Hertz in Fort Wayne was highly unprofessional. The customer service was terrible, and the employees had a bad attitude. It seemed like they were only there for a paycheck, and the whole atmosphere was unorganized, with vapes sitting out at the front desk.
To make things worse, they canceled my rental just 30 minutes before my scheduled pickup and left a very unprofessional message. I would not recommend this location. If you want great service, go to Enterprise instead and save yourself the hassle.

Extremely disappointed. I arrived five hours after my scheduled pickup time, and the car I reserved was still not ready. If a reservation doesn’t guarantee a car — especially after such a long delay — what’s the point of booking in advance? Completely unreliable experience. I won’t be using this company again.

I got a car but felt like I received a wonka golden ticket. The one representative on shift is not to be blamed. This place had cars but couldn’t rent them due to service needed. Turned people away with reservations behind me. Understaffed, not the cleanest office. Turned in the car before my drop off time. Due to the office being closed on Sunday, the official check in was Monday morning. Charged me a late fee because of this and won’t remove it.

Terrible location. Representative over here at this location are absolutely un professional they always try to over charge you. Person name Dom is always asking for money under the table and then he will use his employees perk to give you car on cheaper price other wise he is like we don’t have car for you.
I booked my car 2 days in advance and confirmed from hertz customer care that my booking is confirmed 1 hr before arrival and still they said on last moment we don’t have car for you.
Shame on you guys for making things difficult for customer “Dom u just work here you don’t have right to destroy hertz image.”

Personally will not be using Hertz rentals again.
I rented a vehicle from this Herts location from a Thursday through Sunday. They were not open on Sundays so I dropped the vehicle off and put the keys in a drop box provided. I dropped the vehicle off 7 hours early on the drop off date and still recieved a late fee. When I went back to ask about the late fee I was told that I only received the late fee because they were closed on Sunday and can't process until the next day. I was not told this or given any notice during the reservation process that a fee would be added if they are closed the day you return the vehicle.
I find this absolutely ridiculous, especially from a company as big and profitable as Hertz. The woman who worked at the desk was helpful and informative and the vehicle was in good condition. However due to the deceptive fees attached after my rental was returned, ON TIME, I will not be booking with this company ever again.

Regrettably, I can’t give a zero-star rating due to platform restrictions. I strongly advise against renting from Hertz. A last-minute vehicle change and final receipt showing an additional $30 to the initial booked price. The poor customer service made the entire experience a waste of time.
If you ask for online help, forget about their work ethics or professionalism.
