The employee's really pretend to do their jobs to the laziest of their efforts. They don't install parts correctly. They don't perform alignments correctly. The manager in charge is sarcastic, manipulative, and indirectly say's negative remarks. I think he intentionally attempts to make his customers paranoid. Well, we're not Gary's customers. We're Midas' Customers. Unfortunately this Midas causes more harm than good.

UPDATE: Management from this location called me to follow up on the complaint I made. I appreciated the call because at least they followed up.
Went in initially for a vehicle inspection and knowing my brakes most likely needed work. Sure enough I needed rear and front rotors & pads. Also a note about battery issues. Altogether, costs were around $1300. Couldn’t afford that price tag so I agreed to get the rear rotors & pads for around $460. While that work was being done, a caliper was broken by a technician. So I now had to pay an additional $300 to replace the caliper. Fantastic. Car can’t function without it. Great. Couldn’t afford that price tag but I need my car for work. What else could I do? Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have gone through this type of situation while taking my car in as a single female. And I don’t think these “accidents” are coincidences.
Joey worked with me a lot and I genuinely appreciate his discounts and ways to bring down some of the cost. He even agreed to make a note about a discount on my future front brake service on the receipt. However, this was conveniently left off the receipt. I will not be back.

They use manipulation tactics to make u think You need more work on your car than you actually do . Would not recommend came in for break and rotor replacements left with a 1600 bill & unneeded calibers. All because I got approved for a credit card they made it seem my calibers were bad to rack up my bill . If I can save you the stress and spiked bill plz go somewhere else to get your car worked on! Would give 0 stars if I could

I urgently needed a new battery after needing to jump my car almost everytime to start it. I showed up right at 8 when they opened, waited at the counter for about 5 minutes until someone finally came up from the back. I asked if they'd have time to change out the battery because I needed to leave by 8:40 to make it to work. They reassured me that'd be no problem. They quoted me over $300 for the battery and service, it seemed pretty high and after some looking, the guy said he could get the price down to $200 for the battery and $35 for install (still kind of expensive for loosening a couple bolts). But okay. They get my car pulled in quickly and open the hood. Then it just sat there. One guy would come over and loosen something then walk away, or they'd all be standing around doing nothing and just talking. It gets to be 8:45 and all they've done is remove the old battery in the past half hour. One of the guys walks in and apologizes for the wait saying some guys showed up late (like that's the reason it's taken this long). At this point I know there's no way I'm making it to work on time. Finally at 9:20 they finish it and I end up being 30 minutes late to work.
If they knew they couldn't get this done in time I wish they would have been upfront with me so I could just buy a battery and do it myself later. I reminded them twice when I needed to leave by and they still stood around wasting time. I appreciate the willingness to try to get it done but I left extremely frustrated.
Bottom line, make sure you question the pricing because they will try to overcharge you and don't come here if you have a tighter timeline. Apparently a simple task like changing a battery will still take over an hour.

had me wait over an hr consistently telling me “everything is going to be okay we will get it figured out” only to at the end, not give me my credit because he wasn’t obligated to honor the offers i got for BAD customer support in the first place. GARY IS A TERRIBLE FACE OF THIS MIDAS LOCATION. i would give a 0 star if i was allowed.

One of the worst companies you can take your car to. They will sell you stuff that you don’t need on a daily basis. They are an upselling shop. Every time somebody comes in. they are not trustworthy. Stay away from this shop.

Had a emergency walk in experience today here at Midas on Illinois road. They heard my issues and came to a solution right away. So thankful for the prompt and friendly services of Joey and Ed. I've been coming to this location for a while now. Love it.

Ed Barrand is a superb mechanic. Recently installed shocks and struts on our BMW. Much smoother ride now. Both Ed and the manager Gary are pros and I trust them. Will be back.

I stopped in without an appointment due to a gouge in my tire. Joey checked it out, assured me it was fine, even checked to make sure it wasn't leaking air. Told me it was nothing to worry about. I tried to offer a tip for the otherwise free service but he wouldn't allow it. Great guy!
