Get this man off the registers because every single time I come in here he looks at me a certain way, and this time he actually asked for my phone number when I was trying to check out. like I didn’t drive all the way to Office Depot for you sir, I came here for paper.

Customer service leaves much to be desired here. The girl at the checkout register was fabulous and kind. They also had the items I needed in stock at a decent price. However, I spent a lot of time loitering around the laptops waiting for someone to approach me and offer advice and never received that. I began to look around the general area to spot someone who could help me. The lady working at what I assume to be the printer center says “the checkout is over there”. To which my reply was “ No, I actually just need someone to get a laptop for me”. And she gets up and unlocks the laptop I decided on, no help from any staff. And says “well when you’re done, you checkout over there”. It came off very rude considering no one ever spoke to me and she just assumed I was lost, only to double down and repeat herself after I clearly just needed someone’s assistance. The issue was the fact that she wasn’t doing her job. Not that I didn’t know where the checkout was, thanks though :)

Has to return an item via FedEx, had a QR code for free return. Clerk told me I had to go to an actual FedEx location to use QR code. Called Walgreens, they knew just what to do. Don’t go here.

I was looking for a printer and had been to other stores. I thought Office Depot was the best because I got the best help from a sales person and they had a lot of printers on display, allowing me to compare.

Imagine going to make a small purchase at Office Depot. You ask for help. A rude employee begrudgingly helps you.Unfortunately for you, you use the "wrong" descriptive word in describing what you need.Then imagine having five employees and a manager lose their collective minds. They come out from the aisles to literally scold and harangue you for using the "wrong word" while you're trying to check out.Yes, you too can enjoy this kind of superior customer service at Office Depot you if you use a word they don't like.I was told by a manager, "We expect a certain level of professionalism" while trying to leave. Maybe take your own advice. You sell printer paper. Get over yourselves.I'll admit, these folks are ahead of the curve. This happened some time ago. They were "woke" when it was only "politically correct."Next time you stop by use a politically incorrect word and you too can watch the employees turn feral.
