Your employees are top notch and well suited to their jobs in a pet store. They are always very friendly, answer my questions, and seem to truly love pets and pet owners. The only employee I interacted with on 3/2124 was the person who checked me out at the cash register. We chatted about my purchase (a male Double Tailed Beta fish that looks just like a rose petal). We chatted about the sad state of the way Betas are kept in pet stores and how SOMETHING needs to be improved with this. I made a point of selecting a Beta that seemed healthy and strong, but not all the Betas in your store were healthy and strong. In fact, I let her know that there was a dead one among the others. Petco still gets a "10" from me though because this "Beta problem" seems to be an industry wide problem. Perhaps Petco can join me in trying to get something done about this. I am going to speak to my legislative representative.I have never had any fish from Petco die on me prematurely and I have never bought a plant from Petco that was riddled with snails.I got my cat "chipped" at Petco on one of the monthly vet visits there. This was quite convenient, but what is it? Just one half-day per month? Because I like Petco, I'd like to see the vet service increased to maybe twice per month.

I went in to buy fish . The employee was very rude and when I told her I planned to quarantine my fish she told me that the practice was outdated and cruel in front of my 7 year old . I drove an hour one way to your store and will never shop there again . I suggest if you're going to have "screening questions" you inform your employees of proper animal care AND proper customer service because I am appalled at the way I was spoken to in front of other customers and my child . Furthermore if anyone asks me in the future for recommendations I will recommend to steer clear of fort wayne petco. In my 30+ years of fish keeping I have never felt more disrespected or talked down to by an employee who couldn't answer basic questions herself

Beta fish were dead sitting on the shelf and then the lady working as manager told me I wasn't aloud to buy fish because I need to let the water sit for 3 days and I couldn't have more than one in a 3 gallon tank

The aquarium person was so very helpful with filters, an air stone kit and chemicals for our aquariums. He was very knowledgable and pleasant. There must be a new manager because we haven't seen the middle aged woman that used to work there who was very ill mannered and just rude. They have a nice crew there now and we have been shopping there more than other stores. Nice improvement.

They are the only store that carries Stella's and chewys cat chick chicken freeze-dried morsels and have a variety of treats for dogs on the buffet.

Picked out a Deta fish for my classroom. They were so helpful in how to set up the tank and what I needed. They also have the best selection of betas and look the healthiest. Went to three stores before them. The beta re a little more in price but worth it!!
