I am a newer member of Velocity and by new, I mean I am only on my third session. I wish I would have come in sooner. I had my first meeting with Brad who was super kind, informative and understanding. He took my crying (yes, literal crying) very well and understood what I was looking for even if I didn't. Thanks for that, Brad!! :DI have been working with Tori who is super knowledgeable and her dedication to teaching me has been unmatched! I learned the art of lifting in high school and THOUGHT I was taught proper technique but she has shown me the proper technique and mechanics of each exercise and I already feel a difference. She listens and takes thorough notes on any issues I am having.I have not had much interaction with Chelsea, but the little I have had she seems super kind also!I can tell you, everyone is encouraging and you never have to feel like you are being judged. Everyone there has their own goals in mind but for the most part, they are like-minded individuals. It is a great place for beginners and seasoned athletes. If this tells you anything, I HATE HATE HATE mornings, but I actually look forward to coming here even if I have to get up at 4:30 a.m. to be there by 6:00 a.m.Anyways, super cool place, even cooler people. If you are looking for even the slightest bit of self-improvement, I would highly recommend Velocity!

Owners, Chelsea and Brad, put a great deal of effort into a wholistic approach to fitness and overall wellness. Their philosophy is well thought out and backed by the latest research. Chelsea, my personal trainer, has led me to nutritional information that has changed my life. She is knowledgeable and passionate about making a difference. I highly recommend Velocity!

HIGHLLLYYYY recommend this gym. It’s great for everyone- those who have never walked into a gym before, those who are already in shape, those who are injured, and even seasoned athletes.I joined velocity a year after an accident that left me with a lot of pain in my hip, knee ankle and foot. Previous to the accident I was a runner, biker and I did at home resistance workouts multiple times a week. After the accident I could barely walk without pain and was stuck on the couch for a solid year, losing muscle and gaining weight.After seeing multiple physical therapists and orthopedic specialists with no improvements, I messaged the owners of velocity and got in for a consultation (best decision I’ve ever made for myself.)They gave me their full attention, assessed what was wrong, designed workouts just for me while making sure I was moving properly and had the right form to make sure I wasn’t hurting myself.Within 4-5 months my pain was significantly decreased and I could walk long distances again!!!!! Then in 6-8 months my pain was mostly gone, just random flares. Now today- 10 months after joining- I don’t experience any pain. None. Nada. Zilch. I CAN RUN AGAIN. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been and I feel amazing and constantly motivated to keep improving.Brad and Chelsea really do know what they’re doing- their philosophy works. They’re here to help you improve in a way that benefits you physically and mentally, not in a way that makes you feel bad about yourself. They truly believe in what they’re doing and you can feel it when you’re there, which is such a rare and lucky thing to find.Highly highly recommend them, book your consult today!!!

Velocity Barbell is the best gym in Fort Wayne, period. I've been a member for about a year and a half, and have never been at this high of a fitness level in my life (not even when I was younger). If you want an elite-level gym that is committed to making you healthier without damaging your body, Velocity is for you. I highly recommend this place.

The best. Period. After years of CrossFit beating my body into a pulp and not getting the proper recovery, switching to a commercial gym for years and not staying consistent with my workouts, lacking motivation and accountability, I found Velocity Barbell. The group classes are small enough that you get the proper coaching that you need. If your form is wrong, the coaches will correct you. If you aren’t putting in your full effort, the coaches will correct that too.You have to want to make a change in your life, and we all know that the only person who can convince you to do that is yourself. Velocity Barbell will give you the roadmap to success. If you are ready to get strong, lose weight, improve your mental and physical fitness, and meet a group of awesome people, this is hands down the best place to do it.

Initially I was a little skeptical about joining a smaller private facility compared to the bigger community gyms. Fast forward three months, one of the best decisions I've made this quarantine! The community is amazing, and coaches push you to maximize your potential. I am amazed at my performance, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.If you want a fun workout environment, an amazing city view, and the best strength coaching; this is your spot!

Truly the best gym in the entire world, if you want to train and get strong this is where you go. If you want to get fit and better your life this is where you go. And if you just want to look good naked then this is where you go. Chelsea and Brad are the best in the business and if truly want to become the better you.
