As a Gulf War and 9/11 era veteran, I was very welcomed when I went to the VFW in Fortville. Some of the VFWs I have been to in the past did not feel that welcoming. At the Fortville VFW the bar staff and customers were very friendly and I even transferred my membership to their post due to feeling so welcomed.
