My wife, four children, and myself just bought a home in New Whiteland. Having moved from Virginia (9 1/2 hour drive) we went to the Franklin Lowe’s and purchased a new gas stove and over the range microwave. Now then, I drive a truck and thus not at home to do things myself like I should so we paid for the stove to be installed. Now my wife and children have been waiting a week for the installers to come just to be told that they brought the wrong gas line, and that she would have to go to the store and get a replacement, then reschedule install. She did this, and a different pair of employees showed up the next day, and told her she needed to go back to the store and get the line she originally had before they could install, and she would have to reschedule. Suffice it to say they must hire from the bottom of the gene pool around here for something as simple as installing a gas stove. So, after speaking with 3 separate managers on the phone today I still have absolutely no idea when they will get her stove hooked up. Beyond infuriating and beyond ridiculous. Why doesn’t the installers have the supplies they need in the truck to do installs? Why can’t any manager give me an answer as to why they can not manage to contact the supervisor to update me with any information? Why can’t I have the number to the installer? Why am I paying an additional charge for install when apparently they don’t know how to do it? Suffice it to say; our Lowe’s card will be deactivated, and we’ll just go elsewhere from now on. RIDICULOUS, OBSURD, and COMPLETELY IDIOTIC INCOMPETENCE,

In need to post today for the store manager James Jackson. He needs 100% praise today, He literally drove to my home to bring a garbage disposal to my house for a Lowe’s contractor repair. The STORE manager. James your dedication is greatly appreciated!!

I’m absolutely repulsed and disgusted by the behaviors of your pro desk and customer service employees. My husband has never faced such judgement and scrutiny at a Lowe’s until he visited THIS LOCATION IN FRANKLIN INDIANA. Before even needing assistance my husband and coworker were judged by their looks when entering this store. I’ve worked for Lowe’s and I know when you feel as though someone is a thief your first approach is an attempt to stop them In their tracks. My husband isn’t a thief but hard working individual. The fact that the worker behind the customer service desk refused to take his phone order for a home owner and acted as if she didn’t see him afterwards and then when corrected by her coworker she acts as if she didn’t know the store policies. I mean he’s done plenty of orders like this before and never been treated as if such transactions didn’t exist. The employee even proceeded to mention that “some criminals but not these criminals” participate in these type of transactions. EXCUSE ME WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THESE TWO WERE CRIMINALS? I mean i would love to hear from a representative of this Lowe’s store to get my honest feedback so that their employees can get proper training on how to treat EVERYBODY THE SAME REGARDLESS OF THEIR LOOKS OR SKIN TONE.

They use certegy who declined a cashiers check from Regions. I guess Regions bounced a check for 300 bucks. Lol. They should have accepted the check regardless. The computer system was running slow for the flooring guy as well and the whole process took forever. Wasted our whole day. Great way to treat customers who are trying to spend 25k with you.

Went to buy a dolley to move heavy furniture. It was under the $149 sale tag. Unfortunately it was $199. Apparently there was dolleys put in all the wrong slots. Really? Bought one somewhere else $30 cheaper.

I'm giving them 5 stars because they always have what I need for the job. The store is way better I believe then their competitors like Menards which always fells older to me.

I came in around 9pm needing 2 twenty foot ladders for a project we were working on. I ask Annette to help and she went above and beyond! The ladders weren’t on the shelf that I was needing but she went the extra mile and had someone check the back and sure enough they were there! I had been to 3 other locations and no one else had the ladders so I was super thankful for her looking for them for me! She’s a rockstar!

We've never had a positive experience with the lumber department. They all seem extremely annoyed to help. I asked a guy for help and he couldn't have put any less effort in. The guy working the register was even less personable. He acted as though he was closing down the entire section at 7 p.m. Then another customer came behind me and he got even more visible annoyed. Wouldn't say two words. Quick trips for something light is the only reason to visit their lumber section. We worked with a contractor who said he'd rather eat the cost in a price difference if it means he doesn't have to get the lumber from Franklin Lowes. That being said-- the other departments have been good to us. Cashiers are friendly. Good holiday selection, etc. I also really like the garden section.

I researched the website and found the flooring I have been searching for. Among all the other vinyl/laminate, priced between around $60-$90 a box, I located a great product with a great price. My laminate flooring cost me $24 a box. Very satisfied!

The last 3x I/my fiance have been to the Franklin store, we've returned home telling the other "I will not return to Lowes ever again. Unless I have have no other choice obviously" it has been an unnecessary mess each time!

Please get some people in there with at least common knowledge, stop trying to rip people off on your "add on" "hidden" pricing. LEARN some good customer service. I was talking to a scheduler guy and he was extremely rude! I bought everything up front. THEY and the contractor said its all included in the install. NOW they wanna call me and say I OWE for extra. Their misake for not one telling us and just expecting us to pay for their mistake. You aint fooling me. Its best to pay a contractor out right. PERIOD> lowes sucks.

I have had great experiences with Lowes when it comes to tools, paint, lighting, plumbing, etc. I’ve purchased dozens of items over the last few months especially and I’ve been so happy with each and every process…until July 11th.I have had a horrendous experience with their appliance section and, especially, their installation process. First and foremost, they are willing to lie to you about appliances to get you to buy the item they want to sell you. They are willing to lie to you to get you to buy their extended warranty. The “expert” in appliances told me appliances are expected to last 3-5 years and “they never make it that far.” First, appliances are rated for 8-10 years on average and, if you buy quality items, you get well beyond that life. (I used to sell appliances and have had extensive experience). After I told him I wouldn’t be buying a Lowes warranty, he continued to tell me multiple fairy tales about what kinds of things he’s seen happen. The worst part is they contract installs to third party people (whom I’m sure do a good job). The issue is the third party won’t even schedule your install until Lowes has the product on-hand—most of their inventory is not on-hand, so it’s a minimum 3-4 days before the installer can even learn that the product is ready for pickup. It takes 24-48 hours for the installer THEN to call you to schedule the install. Installs are scheduled out 2-3 weeks meaning you’re looking at 2.5 weeks minimum. Still…this isn’t the worst part. The worst part about the worst part is that, according to the Lowes expert, over 50% of their products arrive damaged. Lowe’s is not allowed, per policy, to open the product to verify its in good shape. So…the installer comes to get it the morning of your install. If the product is damaged, the installer will call you to start the clock all over at zero on re-ordering a product, waiting for it to arrive, waiting to get scheduled via phone call, and then waiting for said install another 2.5 weeks minimum. According to the “expert,” you should expect this process to repay itself more than half of the time.Lowes, please fix your very broken system and train your “experts” so they stop taking advantage of people who trust them. Stop wasting people’s time and money. At no time during the last three weeks of debacle after debacle was any kind of offer made to do compensate me for wasted time.Lesson learned, Lowes. Never again will I work with you on installation. Also—they must’ve sold my email online because the moment I gave it to them to “send to third party installers only” I was bombarded with dozens of daily junk mail messages for now going on three straight weeks.
