“Very clean hotel with very comfortable beds. The person that run's the breakfast should go to other Holiday Express Hotels to train the staff. Breakfast was excellent. Front desk staff is extremely accommodating.A+”

“We still had a four hour drive ahead of us on the highway and the storm with a downpour of rain and a tornado watch in effect made me worry. I looked up nearby lodging on my phone and the Comfort Inn showed up in my feed with a rate of $74.00. We got off the ramp and drove through Freemont which looked quaint with its country feel and large lake. We were grateful to get a room at the Comfort Inn although the price was actually a total of $117.00 for the night. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. I helped myself to orange juice from the machine in the dining area right after checking in. Our room was pleasant and since it was on the third floor it was great to use the stairway for exercise. My only complaint is our bathroom was tiny. I felt squashed when using the toilet. The swimming pool is a bonus. It's refreshing and good for a swim. The breakfast buffet is abundant but not the healthiest. It was a pleasure to spend the night at the Comfort Inn.”

“Mixed, but good overall.

Pros: It's beautiful! There are many beautiful spaces inside and out.

There is a nice variety of amenities. A game room, a library, a great room with a fireplace and lots of seating. There are also some nice, free events here (The Fort Wayne Philharmonic).

They also have a number of experiences you can purchase (e.g., toboggan, horseback riding).

The staff was nice.

The queen cabin was clean, modern, and cute, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. It also has a mini fridge, microwave, and pod coffee maker, which was nice.

I also love that they have vegetarian and non-dairy options at the restaurant!

Cons: WiFi and G5 are spotty and inconsistent, even in the lodge.

Sound easily carries between adjoining cabins, G5 did not work well, the room is small with nowhere to sit inside, storage is limited, and it is not stocked with anything, but a few teas, coffee pods, paper and plastic cups, and a few sugar packets. There is also a iron, ironing board, and hair dryer. But there are no plates, silverware, utensils, etc. There were two bath towels in the room. You can get more, but you have to go to the lodge. The microwave and toilet were the loudest I've ever heard. And, even in the summer, the shower only got warm.

Overall, the good outweighed the not-so-good, but it is helpful to know in advance what you are paying for.”
