Edited: Well today was a horrible experience. I had a dog get hit by a car outside of my house. Multiple leg fractures and it was dying on my apron. I jumped into the vehicle as fast as I could and was assisted with getting the dog into my truck. I sped to Georgetown Animal Clinic as fast as I could in attempts to save it's life or at least administer euthanasia so the dog didn't have to suffer with traumatic injuries. I got there at 8:15am. I explained that I had a dying dog in my truck and I needed help getting the dog out of the truck. Instead of the staff jumping and trying to administer help like I assumed someone working at a Veterinarian clinic should do. They told me that the doctor wouldn't be in until 9am and that I would have to wait with the dog until after the repairs were completed. Now, at this point I am livid. I couldn't believe that they would tell me this considering that it's not my dog and I wasn't going to foot the bill for the individual who decided to never stop or turn around to check on the animal they hit with their car. The staff never opted to call a doctor or even check on the dog. They just told me that if I wasn't willing to stay with the dog then I needed to go to Louisville with the dying dog. Mind you, I already live 15 minutes away and it took me 15 minutes to get everything ready and the dog into the truck. So we're at 30 minutes of agonizing pain that this animal is suffering through. So I had to drive all the way to New Albany Animal Shelter. Another 15 minutes with traffic. I got there and of course they weren't open so I started panicking. I ended up seeing a staff member pull into the parking lot and when I told them I had a dying dog in my truck, they almost dropped everything they were carrying and ran to figure out what to do. They immediately called the doctor and then proceeded to get the dog muzzled and into the shelter where they found that the dog was chipped. So after 1 hour of brutal, broken limb pain. The dog was in some type of care. I will NEVER bring my pets back to this clinic. They do NOT care about your pets. We've been to vets in New Albany to Lanesville and this is by far, our favorite vet. They don't pressure us into feeling like we have no options when it comes to our girls and we're thankful for thatP.S. I swear we don't beat our girls! They're just doing boxer things ?

The staff is very friendly and accommodating! I chose to wait outside due to severe cat allergies and the technician came out repeatedly to give me results and updates about the checkup/annual visit of my German Shepherd, Luna. The veterinarian also offered to meet me outside if I had any questions or concerns! Extremely positive experience…well done!!

My little shih tzu was shaking going in but then did not want to leave. She had two shots and blood drawn and didn't even realize it. The vet tech and vet loved on her and treated her so well that she didn't want to leave. I've had several dogs and have never had that happen before at my old vet places. They get 5 stars from me and my dog Binky. Thank you for changing her vet experience into something positive!

Reason why there is so many stray animals in this county. Used them for our pets in the past. Called to get prices on spay and neuter with use of country vouchers. They used to be very reasonably priced and affordable in their old business building. Now they got a new building, they charge each too much. People using vouchers can not afford over $ 100 bucks per animal. We only paid $ 130 for 2 animals at their old building.

I recently switch my pets to Georgetown Veterinary and I couldn’t be happier with my experiences here. I was previously at Hillside and my cockapoo has gone to Hillside since he was about 8 weeks old. He is now 13 and was gaining weight and had terrible hot spots on his skin. Hillside vet prescribed him medicine but never got down to the problem. Georgetown Veterinary found out his thyroid level was low and put him on thyroid medicine. He’s lost 1 1/2 pounds and his skin is clearing up. Thank you to Georgetown Veterinary and my animals will never go back to Hillside Veterinary. Hillside also told me my miniature schnauzer had a couple teeth with tartar on them so I scheduled a cleaning. I brought my miniature schnauzer in to Hillside Veterinary to have his teeth cleaned and without letting me know they removed 24 of his teeth on a 6 year old very healthy dog. And proceeded to tell me his teeth were falling out. His teeth had been cleaned once a month by his groomer and his teeth were not falling out! Done with Hillside Veterinary

Vets and Techs at the clinic were nothing but polite and helpful. Called on a Tuesday afternoon to have my cat neutered and they were able to get him in for an exam and surgery done first thing Thursday morning.
