“This is one of the best places in the area to go for inexpensive building supplies and furniture. I stop in pretty often to just scoop up nails and trim and other things that I use constantly. It pays off too, because I'm never without the right hardware, and I usually have bits and pieces that I can use to fix something back up without spending an arm and a leg. The only problem with a store like this is that it's never guaranteed to have exactly what you need. It's better to go in every time you pass by and pick up the stuff you think you'll use eventually, but if you don't have that kind of time it's still fun to go in and look around.”

“Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Picnic area, sledding hill, many well marked walking trails, and a large observation tower. Great place for dog walking and to bring the kiddos. Annual pass is very reasonable, have a veteran/senior discount. Pass is good for all sites in the Elkhart County Parks system that have fees. ECP has events for all ages/interests year round.”
