Worst banking experience ever. We've only had an auto loan through Interra, opened in 2016. We sold the vehicle in 2020 & paid off the loan. We received the title, obviously bc the ENTIRE balance was paid. The account has been marked as closed for 3 years. Imagine the surprise when my husband takes his daily look at his credit score and it's plummeted 80 points over night. Why you ask? Because yesterday, Interra opened up our closed account, added a $25 charge, then marked it as 120 days late. Considering the massive point drop, obviously this is being considered a 4 month late loan payment, not some random fee. I'm not sure the minimum IQ level you have to work at this circus, but someone flew under that level to get hired.

Unless you keep $1,000 in your account for your checkbook they're going to charge you $9 a month no way around it. A multi-billion dollar Corporation doesn't want to do business with the small guy unless you're Amish and drive a tractor or eat glorified Amish Donuts that aren't even Amish. By all means go to Community Wide where they do not charge.

I have banked here for over 30 years and each year it gets worse. Drive through at the downtown Goshen location?? You better have 15 minutes to spare and that is when you are the second car in line. Any and All locations....Send two things in the tube.. A check made out to Interra for a business credit card through INTERRA with an account number in the memo field, a payment coupon from INTERRA , same amount as check, same account number all matches check.. Drive through attendant looking at those two specific items because nothing else is in the tube.... So what are we doing today?? UMM gee I just thought would send that payment in that tube to see how it worked and I had and extra 15 minutes to sit here waiting to get asked that stupid question... EVERY SINGLE TIME EVERY SIGLE TELLER!!!! I am sure this is some sort of training module but after waiting 15 minutes in line, Post the payment, I have a business to run, you know what those two papers in that little round tube mean! This used to be the pinnacle of financial institutions in our community... It is a NO for me and our business now.

As promised: I am sharing my experience withInterra Credit Union. Mind you I signed the contract, as all of this was legal. Long story short, I went to look at a boat and then decided to not get the boat and brought the check back the following week. They decided to still charge the origination fee and interest and it cost me $190 on a loan I didn't use. They also informed me that if the $190 stayed open they'd keep charging interest on that. So much for local credit unions being better than banks. They are all just shady, not to mention the teller I worked with each time in the Syracuse branch could use a refresher course on being pleasant, as I did not go crazy in the branch and simply paid the money and left. I emailed my loan agent, and it got me a great call saying, well... per usual there is nothing we can do for you on that money. Well, Interra let me repay the favor by saying I can do something for you, and that's to tell all you,my fishing friends. Get your loan somewhere else where at least they pretend to care and give you straight answers, as I asked about what to expect if returned the check and was never told about the fees and interest. Thanks Interra I know who I won't be using when I do purchase a boat within the next year.

Was 5 minutes late for an appointment and they refused to see me. Which I guess was a blessing because of all the terrible reviews I'm reading. So that's fine, we will take our business elsewhere and bank somewhere else.
