“This is a beautiful place to go for a walk. It is open to the public, and leashed dogs are welcome. There is network of trails, a lovely little creek, and places to sit and enjoy nature.There are also buildings to rent, and covered shelters for fun picnic spots.”
“It's amazing at what Church Community Services does for not just residents of the city of Elkhart, but for all of Elkhart County and surrounding counties in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. They have the largest food pantry, a Soup of Success program to empower women, financial services to help keep families from becoming homeless, and a Seed to Feed program with over 40 community gardens across Elkhart County providing fresh vegetables to their local communities. I love to volunteer there and I love what they do every day for people dealing with storms of life.”

“So great of an experience! We made some Xmas gnomes, in an old classroom. Very nostalgic! There were other rooms with a plethora to take part in. From belly dancing & craft classes to children's sports in the gym. Great location, parking, access(elevator) and assistance from the greeter at the main entrance. Such a gem that's been restored and revitalized! Way to go Mishawaka!”
“The Marine Corps League detachment 095 is amazing! Any Marines in the area come hang out with me any Monday 4:30 pm - 7:00pm. It free to hang out and its only $40 a year to be a member.”

“Great times with a bunch of great people! When they serve food it's always amazing. Their events are a good time, they host a bike night every other week during the summer months that's pretty fun. Prices use to be lower than any average bar in town but now they raised them to be just like everywhere else. Even for us members but oh well... At least the bartenders are friendlier than those other placed! Kudos to the bartenders, Bill and the rest of the board for all the efforts”

“A gem hidden in plain sight. We recently became members of South Bend Elkhart Audubon society, it is made up of great people snd this sanctuary belongs to them. A wonderful place to have some quiet and quality nature time. While not open to the public, if you become a member you can access it or go to one of the open Sunday’s to experience the place.”
“My kids and I really like going to the Y my teenage boys play basketball I would really love it even more if the weekend hours were 5 to 5Or 7 am to 5 pm, I think more people would probably join.Mostly everyone works during the week so they have the weekends to really get a good workout without rushing through it and to get there before it closes 0ther than that it's still a great family place.”
