Old fashioned cooked meals. I'm mostly go there to eat breakfast. And I enjoy seeing my friends.
And eating a great meal with my grandson. I'm happy that stories reopen. Definitely unique. Most restaurants are just there for the money, Not stories restaurant. They care about their employees and they care about their customers. The cook's go out of their way to make children happy. It is a great experience.

First, let me say I love a funky old diner. We eat at Storie's every time we drive through the area. Pork Tenderloin is my favorite thing here. It almost fills the plate! The mashed potatoes and pickled beets make me nostalgic about Grandma's house on a Sunday night. The only reason I took away a star was because my potatoes could have been a bit hotter. But once I enjoyed my Peanut Butter Pie, I forgot all about food temperature! The new owners did a great job with the tasteful interior update. This place is a gem, to be supported by everybody who ever remembers dinner at Grandma's house.

Great fried chicken, service and prices. Cozy family diner atmosphere. A rare find these days!

This used to be a go-to place, a staple, an old standby. After a couple of tries after it was sold, IT SUCKS. The new owners are cheapie sellouts. The food quality is down, the portions are down, and the service is down. Last time I dined, I left no tip. It takes a lot for me to not tip, but that is exactly what they were asking for. And when I don't tip, they should know I have no intention of returning.

Most restaurants like this are in business because of their great service and great food. This had neither on my second visit. The first visit was a few years ago and it was OK.My wife's grilled cheese sandwich was fine.I had the meatloaf special. It was a strip the size of a piece of bacon covered in catsup. The mashed potatoes tasted like boxed potatoes and the gravy tasted burnt. It was far from special! My daughter had the Smoked sausage and kraut. It didn't look as good as a TV dinner. The brussel sprouts looked to be still frozen and inedible. When we finally got the waitress's attention to get silverware, we we able to eat a terrible, expensive lunch. They ( three of them) were all busy visiting with a customer at the counter.PS. The pie was great!Parking: close
