My family loves coming to Southside Eye Center. The entire staff is so friendly and makes every visit enjoyable. They take the time to really talk to us and answer all of our questions. We highly recommend them for kids and adults!

I am so thrilled to be able to see again, I couldn’t read my phone, menus, I couldn’t not see my computer. I went to Southside Eye Center because I thought I had an eye infection, but Dr Elmore looked at my eyes up down sideways, this way that way (in different ways then the eye doc in a box) and found I had a chemical burn to my corneas, he helped me narrow it down to an eye lid scrub pad I had used that was expired. He prescribed the right drops, we added a steroid drop a few days later. I am a pharmacist, and I really appreciated him taking the time and doing a complete eye exam, rather than just looking at my red eyes and prescribing an antibiotic for pink eye. Everyone at the office is very nice, too! Then I went back for a contact exam and now I can see again. It’s not just that I am just getting older and can’t see anymore. Excellent choice for an eye doctor. Dr Elmore is an awesomely bright, careful, personable and will give you exactly what you need, fantastic eye doctor!! I could not be more pleased.

Highly recommend Dr. Elmore and team. I have been going to him for years and every experience is pleasant and educational. He and the staff are very personable and care about you as an individual. Dr. Elmore has gone out of his way to help me with some uncommon eye issue always making sure I’m in a good spot. He also has the best hair of any eye doc I’ve used. Great practice if looking in Center Grove/Greenwood.

Dr Elmore got me into his office very quickly even though I was a new patient. He rates were very reasonable. He was also able to refer to an eye specialist for laser treatment.

Very friendly service! They were running a little behind, but were very apologetic. Exam was very thorough and the doctor gave me some things to watch for in the future with my vision. A good experience-I will be back!

Best eye doctor I have found! Myself and my children go here! Replacement glasses and fixes are very quick and they have a great selection available if glasses are needed. The best thing about Southside is they provide the test needed to detect optical atrophy and other eye nerve diseases and issues, plus it's painless.

So far I have had the one main appointment to get glasses and now have my third separate appointment scheduled because my lenses have been wrong. Both of the times I have been in so far they have said to wait two weeks, which I did I waited three, and that everything looks fine.My second appointment was scheduled as an adjustment, not to check my prescription. Even though I explained what was wrong on the phone. So they sent me to a room and I had waited 45 minutes which is fine because they seemed a bit busy but the receptionist had forgot about me even in there because she had told another patient to go in there. I finally get helped and she has me go to the back for me to figure out there is no doctor there to help me out.So far I have had a terrible experience. I told them they were wrong the second I put them on. They just wanted me in and out and seem like I have no idea what I’m talking about. I have had glasses since I was almost one year old so I’d think I would know if my glasses are right or not.

Dr Connell was very thorough with my son during his eye exam and he was very patient with him as my son has Autism. He was also thorough when my husband came in for an eye exam and he was the first eye dr that he has seen that discovered my husband needed prism to stop his double vision. He has worn glasses since he was a child and now can see well in his glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Connell.

I've been a patient of Southside Eye Center since 1992 when Dr. Hedges was the owner. Dr. Elmore came on board around 2009 and eventually bought the practise. I liked him immediately. He had the same professional and yet sweet and personable personality that Dr. Hedges had. My vision is extremely important to me and I want a doctor that knows me as well as a doctor with state of the art equipment.
