I had a wage garnishment taking out of my account from Johnson county civil court which I wasn’t upset about because it was a judgment from the court. It was $2,054.06 they held this money for a month waiting on the court date. I called the lawyers office and asked them why they just don’t take the money and they said they needed to wait until the court date unless I agreed to release it to them. I told them I agreed. The lawyer filed the motion to release funds and sent it to the bank. The Bank received the order to release funds and instead of releasing the funds that where holding for over a month they hit my checking account again which left me in the negative $1,300.00 I seen this on my app and drove straight to the bank on smith valley and ask to talk to the manager who was Jocelyn. I told her what happened and she said there is nothing she can do about it that I would have to wait a day or two and see if it works itself out. I told her that is unacceptable that I had bills coming through the bank any day and it would hurt my credit that I have been trying to build. She told me there was nothing she could do. I was upset and told them it was BS and I wanted to dispute it and she told me to leave. I left and the teller kaytlin called me on my phone 15 minutes later and told me that it had been fixed. I told her thank you and hung up. The next morning the manager downtown Mike Combs called me and told me that they was canceling both our accounts within thirty days. I told him that was fine and I hope the next bank I go to treats me better anyways the tellers on smith valley are real nice but if you ever have a real problem you do not want this bank in your corner. The ATM is always broke down and is an antique. It always has problems. The only reason I stayed was my wife really liked the tellers. I thought I would share my experience and hopes it helps someone else. I am moving to another bank and life goes on. ?

This bank is so personable & Nan @ the desk is so sweet & willing to call others if she doesn't know the answer, which is so honest & humble instead of acting like she has all of the answers & messing up my account bc of pride. Thank you
