overall, I would have to say that the CVS at 6445 Calumet Ave. in Hammond Indiana is the best I have had the service inside the store and outside. The employees were very informative and helpful

On June 19, 2024 at approximately 7:00pm I had to pick up my prescription from CVS PHARMACY at 6445 Hammond Ave in Hammond,IN. The service was quick retrieving the prescription and checking out to pay. I believe the cashier’s name was Abraham and he was very courteous and polite and asked if I had any questions about my medication. I wish every visit was like this.

I called corporate office. I was scolded by a cashier stating she was a manager. I was holding my purse dug for change and placed the dollar plus a quarter nickel and a penny on the cabinet in which Tamea scolded me stating, I was to place the money in her hand not on the counter. I have the receipt time stamped 12:20 . As I was walking away she stated I was rude. I have never be so disrespected in a CVS. I get whatever she was eating at the register I apparently interrupted since she began the conversation with a mouthful of food . If my insurance did not request for us to use cvs I would Never spend another dime in this store. Is this a policy of CVS to scold customers when they place money on a counter and Not in YOUR employees hand. Very disappointed in your store. I hope you review your tapes watch her eat at the register, then scold me for placing change on the counter and me turn back around as she calls me rude as I'm walking out in which I ask for a manager and she states she is.

Drive thru said I needed to go inside to verify insurance. Parked and went inside to find they were closed for lunch. Had to wait for them to open again. I don't use CVS. I had no idea they closed for lunch. The drive thru clerk should have said that instead of sending me in. When I got inside, I told the person I was talking to, that they were closed. That I didn't understand why I was sent inside if they were close. Someone behind the gate said \" there's a sign posted saying that. You can read it\". That is very unprofessional. I will be finding another pharmacy to get my mother's scripts at. They should never have said that. They had no idea even who they were talking to. My boss would never put up with that. Being the gate was closed, I have no idea who said it and they will never admit to it. This was my second trip to CVS for my mom and it's my last.

Some employees are nice but then some are kinda rude/judgey. Most of the time they are super slow. Would go somewhere else if I could.

Highest prices, worst service. Corporate is greedy; closed over 900 stores with no warning leaving many places without a pharmacy and loyal employees without a job.

Going to the bathroom is kinda of an ordeal. But I was pleasantly surprised to find the bathroom very clean.The aisles were crowded with racks of merchandise that needed to be stocked. Just sitting there with no workers in site. I had to catch a worker on her phone instead of actually workin by the way, to get them to open the bathroom.It was clean what a shock.

Went in to fill my Toddler's prescription after being in the ER for a long time . The Pharmacist was nice and helpful but manager was very unfriendly and heartless . My 8 year old daughter had to use the restroom really bad , it was an emergency, while we waited for the prescription . Manager refused to allow her to use the restroom . The bathroom was not out of service or under maintenance, it was closed . According to her the bathroom has to be locked after 9pm per upper management instructions and that there was nothing she could do for my daughter . We were in the pharmacy around 10pm , we were 30 min away from home since this is the closest 24 hour pharmacy . Everything else was closed and my daughter had an accident ..... ?.. Horrible experience
