NO ONE WANTS OR WILL HELP YOU! Lowe's has better service & prices Purchased a washer & dryer, paid for the parts and installation with an employee to make sure we got all the things we need. The washer and dryer was dropped off at my house but it was not installed because we purchased the wrong parts (with the help of a Home Depot employee) It's okay, we respectfully rescheduled the installation. Returned to Home Depot to purchase the correct parts, and NO ONE wanted to help. An elderly lady who works in appliances said to go get help at Customer Service. Customer Service gave us the phone number to appliances. I called appliances while I was in the store and I was transferred to SIX DIFFERENT LINES. I was frustrated, but I remained calm and called Home Depot Customer Care (corporate) and likewise they were no help. Was advices to go into Home Depot to speak with a manager. Asked around Home Depot who could help me find the correct parts and was adviced to go to a plumber but if I do this then Home Depot will not install my machines. Long story short this place sucks, no body wants to help. Managers won't help, corporate won't help. Lowe's has better prices and services.

Wow, what an experience! I pulled up to the curbside pickup, checked my email, followed the instructions expecting to wait 30-40 minutes, and before I had a chance to choose a song in my Apple Music, Desiree knocked on my window and gave me my order. What's even funnier, while I sit here and type my message, another young lady appeared asking for my order #. AMAZING SERVICE!!!!!

I purchased some chairs and received several phone calls about pick up or order will be canceled, I read the note that I had until the 4th to pick up why call and threaten your customers about their purchases? I cancelled my order today and purchased at Lowe’s.

Ordered carpet that has a 7 day install guarantee on oct 14th. Still haven't gotten any flooring. First it was out of stock, even though they guarantee it can be installed in 7 days. Then they came, ripped my carpets out only to realize that the didn't measure correctly. Now two more (floor less) weeks later we found out less than 24 hours before our new install date that the carpet we ordered didn't ship... no word yet on when we will be getting carpet. Job was paid for in full on oct 15th. Nice scam you're running here Home Depot.

I have to give this location and the whole company a thumbs down. I had to window to move within the two months of June and July (which we couldn't stay beyond the 1st day of August 2020). Since Hammond had that down pour of a rainstorm in May, my washer and dryer was damaged while submerged in 2 -3 ft of water in the basement. So me and my wife purchased another washer and dryer (with the intentions of having brand new unit when we move to our new location. Well that didn't happen... we purchased a washer and dryer from the Hammond location on June 3, 2020 and were told by the appliance department manager "if we need to change our address to a new home, we can call ahead of time and they can change it". Lauren from GE appliances called me on June 20th to rescheduled the delivery date to July 15th due to the items still being on back order (out of stock). So we moved on the 1st of July and figure to give Home Depot a call to change the delivery address since they rescheduled it forcefully. Home Depot states they cannot change the address due to a fraudulent outcome. We have to cancel the delivery, get a refund, purchase the items all over again and setup a delivery time again. Now me and my wife is pissed because they blamed it on their policy of not being able to change the address. So after getting the run around over the phone, I told me and my wife to go to Bestbuy and purchase another washer and dryer. Which we did and Bestbuy made it very simple for the purchase with a 2-day delivery date afterwards instead of waiting for a month to receive the items. What I have learned is that for now on, go to Menards and other stores instead of Home Depot for anything. Lesson well learned.

Came here to buy carpet reps said I could buy it because I needed to buy the under pad even though I didn't need it. Went to Menards no problem carpet was ordered with out any hesitation. I bet Home Depot looses a lot of business for not training there employees properly. I'm probably 1 of many.

Long story short, if you are looking to have your door installed with a contractor from Hammond's Home Depot, do not use that store. We have been dealing with the Hammond store in the millwork department for several months now to have proper procedure setup to have our interior door installed and to say the very least, the entire department is disorganized, unprofessional in handling business properly and the communication process is poor. Even worse, is the poor level of caring of doing their job correctly. Contractor Ken from the installation department is even worse. Not only does he does not return phone calls nor one text I sent him (as he states it is ok to text him), he simply is just unprofessional, overall. We had to go as far as to the corporate office for Collette, who is the Customer Care Resolution Expeditor. While Collette was helpful in keeping the line of communication between the installer, Ken, and the millwork department, Scott, Tom and Ron, it does not address the huge lack of communication of the millwork department and the installer, Ken to us personally. Additionally, for two years, we asked Hammond's Home Depot to remove our old home phone number from their records as they kept using that now-extinct number to call me. Every time I left messages or talked to anyone at that store, I gave them my mobile number and they still used my extinct home phone number, unbelievable. To coordinate efforts to have someone come out to do simple basic measurements was beyond ridiculous. To reach a store manager, Dorothy Carter, she has been completely unavailable. I was told several times that a female named Chris was the store manager and just found out today she is only the assistant manager. I am beyond words as to how inefficient our simple request to have an interior door installed has been. Above and beyond ridiculous.

I walked in to look at a grill and Sam approached us immediately and asked if we needed help. He knew his stuff and was super personable. Walked out with a new grill because of him. Thank you Sam !

Wow, my father just spent $700 on a new snowblower. It's missing the entire oil checking & filling assembly & all you guys can do is tell him he needs to load the 200+ pound machine back into his truck & take it to the Schererville store for "repairs"? Get outta here! We'll be returning it & never visiting one of your stores again.
