My ex that was making payments on a car for 3 years and took it to this shop apparently. I was never made aware of it being there or any issues until I received a tow bill in the amount of 580 for an abandoned vehicle. There is a lien against the vehicle. All payments have been made on time so there wasn’t a reason to believe there were any issues. There was no attempt at contacting the registered owner or written notice sent. Apparently not a requirement to verify a vehicle brought in was done so by the owner and permission given to diagnose or fix. Very unprofessional and poor practice on a businesses part. If I could give no stars I definitely would.

My car broke down and I towed it to this Aamco after discussing my issue on the phone with them. I followed their recommendation, the price they charged me was very high, but needed the car back ASAP. What I got back was a complete disaster. My motor is sputtering, the whole car is vibrating, motor sounds like it is dying. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Best place to bring your car bar, Nun I own Lexus and rather than repairing my car after Lexus told me “not drivable, engine failed and unsafe to drive! In shock I asked firestone nora where to take my car: l”aamco Michigan rd!” sell it to someone else but for a very fair price and uplifting experience because dave & kevin considerate calm & assuring. Mechanical work is impeccable & staff the people are an example of true American quality and consideration. I highly recommend and I’m grateful to have met all involved because I can ask them questions and bring my car to them for all work in the future with confidence

I brought my Honda CRV in to be diagnosed. Left it there overnight. My Catalytic Converter got stolen in their parking lot. Told me they would stay in touch with me about the situation. It's been a week, and I haven't heard from them. This situation has really set me back. Been without a car for a week, and had to purchase a new Catalytic Converter.
Beware of leaving your vehicle overnight in their parking lot.

I went to this location and requested a fluid exchange on a almost 10 year old Chevy vehicle and I was told it would cost me approximately $450.00 or more and to come back next week, and I quote it's not a Lamborghini it's just a mid-size Chevy SUV? It reminds me of a phrase that's been spreading around, one day we will own nothing and be happy. If I had a place to do it myself this is a this is a 15-minute job

I am really happy with the work AAMCO did on my car. The noise was really bothering me. They did an amazing job of correcting the problem.

Took my 2500 Savannah here to have the transmission gone through because it had started to slip. They did great on the transmission. They also replaced 2 bad motor mounts and broke my AC compressor with a pry bar. (Back story: I replaced the entire AC system 90 days prior to the transmission going out). They compromised the system and only replaced the compressor. I got the vehicle back, drove away, and soon realized the AC blew Luke cold. I called them and told them that the A/C wasn't working. I figured the orifice tube was plugged up because the system was compromised. I also informed them about the newly installed system, and nothing was replaced except for the broken compressor. I brought it back to them, and they informed me something is plugging up the system and Now, they refuse to fix my system unless I pay for it. I'm disappointed they will not fix the problem that they have created unless it's on my dime and they are not getting one of mine.

I’ve dealt with Keith(God rest his soul), Nick and Kevin. All 3 of them were extremely nice. My truck runs great. They are pricey BUT it’s worth every penny. Even fixed a couple of things without charging. Very very nice of them. I recommend THIS Aamco!!!!

After going to a dealership with transmission issues I left discouraged. I went to another shop and AAMCO. My experience at AAMCO has been fantastic. Nick and Kevin were incredibly transparent and helpful in helping me select the repair that worked best with myself and my family for both budgeting and longevity of repair. I’ve found my “home” in automotive service.

I recently was having transmission issues with my vehicle so I took it here to get the transmission looked at. Everyone who helped me was extremely friendly and attentive. HOWEVER, their diagnosis of the issue was COMPLETELY INCORRECT. They determined that my transmission was low on transmission fluid (which was true), but instead of investigating WHY the transmission fluid was low, their techs simply decided the best course of action would a complete rebuild or replacement of the transmission which would cost between 5 and 8 thousand dollars. I even payed a $100 fee to get an inspection and be told this incorrect diagnosis.
I took my vehicle to another shop to get a second opinion and they found that the transmission coolant radiator has a crack and fluid had been leaking from it. They replaced it and filled my transmission with new fluid which cost me only $1200, and I have been driving my car for a long time now with zero issues.
If I had trusted AAMCO, I would have spent a TON of money on fixing something that was not broken in the first place. And even worse, I would soon after have had the SAME ISSUE because AAMCO NEVER FOUND THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM.
Luckily, I had gone to get a second opinion and this saved me from thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs, which would not have even fixed my issue. Unfortunately, I still had to pay $100 (which they will not refund) for a useless diagnosis.
I hope my experience with AAMCO will act as a word of caution for anyone who brings their car here, and ensure they get a second opinion before blindly trusting AAMCO.
UPDATE: I was able to connect with with Nick and he was extremely helpful and able to reimburse the fees. He assured me he would talk to his team about this case. It seems like it was an honest mistake and I was impressed by how willing Nick jumped to help me and make an attempt to rectify his team’s mistakes.
