My son goes to buy a car from this dealership. They pull his credit, told he needed a co-signer. My wife and I give our info. In literally an hour after the start of the process, they had sold the car. Two hard credit checks and no car to show for it!Do not trust this dealership as they do nothing but reinforce the stereotype of used cars dealers!

Absolutely terrible. I inquired about a Jeep they had on their webpage, they sent me confirmation that they still had it. I called to double verify this morning as I was making a 2 and a half hour drive to purchase it, once again they ensured me that they had it. My wife and I hit the road with cash in hand, drove all the way there just to be told they had not only sold it, but that it had been sold 2 weeks prior. The woman I called, works the front desk, blatantly lied because she was too lazy to get up and walk herself outside to make sure they had it. The lack of professionalism is the only 5 stars this establishment should receive, they do very well at not having any sorts of professionalism. She didn’t even apologize, instead she sat there at her desk with a dumb expression on her face, while all the other “salesmen” huddled together in a corner trying to hide themselves behind one another. This establishment should not only be investigated on legitimacy but also shut down immediately to prevent them from wasting individuals time and money. Absolutely absurd, every single one of those there today should be fired for the inability to do simple tasks.

Very friendly car dealership, also very helpful, as well as honest. I really liked the experience, as I was there with someone, and I witnessed his experience. The young man, knew a lot about the vehicles, and which was the best option.

Purchased a car from them on a Monday. Didn't even put 100 miles on the car before it broke down Wednesday night. Called and asked for direction on how we should handle the situation. Owner said to call the warranty company because they should cover it. Warranty did not cover it so I tried calling them back. Owner refused to answer my calls or return my messages. Final bill cost me $750+ to repair and make drivable. Owner still dodged my calls till I left a message with the receptionist on the following Tuesday and explained I would be turning this over to the BBB. He finally returns my call within the hour, but tells me he won't do anything and would not even make an effort to amicably resolve the issue. Buyer beware, between the horrible buying experience ( no one has the truck key and we had to wait 45 minutes to see the truck), the wrong description in the add which stated a completely different trim and options package, and the horrible experience with it becoming literally undrivable within 2.5 days. I recommend staying away from this place at all cost. The money you spend buying a car somewhere else will be a better investment that won't leave you stranded.Update. The response from the dealership is bogus. I have a repair bill from a legitimate and reputable shop (pep boys). I was told flatly that the dealership would not even entertain the idea of looking at the bill or assisting with the repairs. You said you have been in constant contact with me during this issue and that is a lie as well. I contacted you via phone five times with two email follow ups with no response for five days and then only after I mentioned contacting the BBB.

I called to check the availability of a car. I was told it was still available. I explained that I was driving 1.5 hours to look at this car. I showed up and they told me that someone had already left a deposit on it. The person showed up while I was there to pick it up. Waisted trip.

Overall, we experience both positives and negatives with our experience purchasing from AMS cars. Initially we contacted them by phone after finding the vehicle we were interested in online because we would be coming from out of state four hours away. We wanted to make sure the vehicle was on the lot and available and that they would be willing to hold it while we drove the four hours which they agreed also since we were coming out of state and I had a preapproved ready loan check from my local credit union. I needed to know the total amount out the door for the check she put me on hold after taking my ZIP Code to confirm the tax amount and then got back to me with a figure so we headed the four hours to Indianapolis from Lansing Michigan. Traffic was not great being so close to Christmas and we arrived only 10 minutes before the dealership closed, it seemed slightly rushed. The lighting in the parking lot was not very good so we were not able to get a very good look at the vehicle, not noticing some body damage and a small crack by the front fender light until we arrived home with the vehicle the next day . We took the vehicle for a test drive and it was on E and no windshield wiper fluid was coming out we asked at the dealership to fill the gas tank and the fluids which they happily agreed to. Then we sit down to go over paperwork. She told us it was a Prius four, which is what we were wanting that meant it would have navigation and also heated seats which was on our checklist. However, that information given was not correct which we also did not find out until after we had purchased the vehicle and gotten it home a few days later actually before we figured out what model it was it is a Prius two not a Prius four. So the vehicle does not have navigation, nor does it have heated seats as we were expecting. It only had two owners no accidents according to the Carfax and lower on the mileage side so at least there’s that, but we are quite disappointed with the features that we’re not there. Also, upon sitting down to do papers once she realized that my check was not in fact, pre-filled out, she told me that she remembered some thing and thought it was a few dollars more so she went to the back and came out with a new out of door total for my check. Ironically, it was an additional difference to cover the gas that they put in the tank for us. I definitely would’ve rather just put in $25 than to have paid interest on that $25 on my loan for five years so I definitely thought that that was not Cool. Again, I didn’t realize this until after we had gotten home the next day, or I would’ve brought it to their attention at that time. Also, paperwork had to be re-printed because there was first an error in the spelling of my name. The second time there was an error in the my home address on the sales paperwork although they did tell us that we would not need to re-print the papers because the error in the address would not affect anything legally so we left them as they were with the incorrect address. I hope that doesn’t come back to bite us in the future. So like I said, overall, there were positives and negatives that we experienced with the entire transaction of this purchase with AMS cars. The staff were definitely kind and communicated well over the phone, but there were definitely some things mentioned above that we wish had gone differently.

We will definitely be strongly considering purchasing our next vehicle from AMS cars.Everyone I interacted with was kind and friendly. They not only wanted to put us in a car as soon as possible, but put us in the car that was right for us. They have a wide variety of inventory. From the various vehicles I test drove, it seems like they sell pretty reliable cars. They were very honest and upfront about any issues with all the cars I test drove and any others I was thinking about test driving.We were really going through it the day of purchase and they were patient and did everything in their power to help us walk away with the keys to the car we wanted to purchase.Courtney and Zach were the main salespeople we interacted with during the entire experience. During the actual buying process they, as well and the finance guy Bryan they were all very patient as we worked out payment, warranty, and insurance options. Bryan has connections with an insurance agent and was able to help us get full coverage for the vehicle we purchased at a lower rate quoted online.

Pictures are very deceiving, so you really must go look at used vehicles personally. We looked at a 2015 GMC 2500 Denali, it had nearly 400,000 miles on it, it had front end damage, the bed had damage making it twisted, which meant the frame was probably damaged, this showed in the wear on the tires as well. The truck was advertised at $34,000 no accidents, good condition. The truck was none of that. When we asked about the price the Receptionist we were talking with understood our concerns & went to the sales manager to discuss it. He printed out a paper showing the value of the truck (if it had been in good condition) and told her to tell us that that's what it's worth. He was the salesman & he wouldn't even talk to us. The Receptionist had to run back & forth to him with questions! No, I'm absolutely not impressed with AMS at all.

DO NOT TRY TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE. My boyfriend and I were interested in a Volkswagen they had on the lot. After calling and being told we had to schedule an appointment to even see the car, we scheduled an appointment at 3:00 to see the car. Fast forward a little bit, and we have driven almost THREE hours to come test drive and buy the car. They called my boyfriend and told him someone had walked onto the lot and bought the car flat out. After WE were told not even 5 hours earlier that they don't allow people to see that specific car without appointments. Three hour drive for essentially nothing. DO NOT try to do business here.
