I made an appointment over a month ago to have my taxes prepared. I could not for the life of me get anyone to tell me what documents I needed to prepare for my appt. Finally a week before my appt, the person replied to me and basically said "I'm not sure why they assigned you to me, but I'm not taking new clients." I asked who else she'd recommend and she did not offer anything. I spent probably 2 hours today calling around to different locations to see if anyone could help with my taxes, but they kept referring to her because she has a specialty I needed. This was absolutely ridiculous and does not need to be this complicated. If someone's trying to decrease their client load I respect that, but a) that needs to be communicated to clients up front, and b) you need to respect that staff member's needs or hire someone else if they're overbooked. This is a staffing issue that shouldn't be affecting customers. I'm not going to call out anyone specifically, but if you have any international income don't bother looking here for assistance.

Met with a tax advisor in March of 2022 to amend state and federal return. Had an email exchange about W2s. Weeks went by with out any response. I emailed 2-3 times to the advisor. Nothing - ever. I wish the guy would have had the respect at minimum to reply or say he could not complete the returns. Pretty poor. You can do better than this by going to any other firm.

Absolute worst tax experience of my life. We have used these people (Robin) for the last few years and our preparer was just plain LAZY! And she gave us horrible advice and has cost us thousands. Many of the things that came out of her mouth were incorrect and some of her calculations were way off. We made the mistake of following her advice. We had an appointment to get our taxes done in the spring and she refused to do them because she was too busy... AT AN APPOINTMENT! Terrible! Too many other choices to put up with this unprofessional garbage. GO ELSEWHERE!

Always fun feeling taken advantage of by a business especially when they see an opportunity to make money. I've been a loyal HR Block customer for over a decade. But the last two years since becoming a widow their fees and what they require me to pay to get help with my taxes has more than doubled. I was promised last year it would be more affordable this year because I'm on my own and wont be claiming as much. Nope, they charged me even more and didnt even care when I told them they would be losing a loyal customer. 360 dollars for a single widow filing, no children, and one retirement plan is obscene and robbery as far as I'm concerned. Way to kick someone when they are down. All their pricing online is completely incorrect, save yourself some trouble and go anywhere else. They will have more compassion and integrity there.

Completely unprofessional service. First, they give you incorrect advice about tax filing. When you receive a big bill from tax department, the tax advisor who filed your taxes yells at you and blames YOU for wrong tax returns. HR Block, if you're listening, you should pay attention to how professional your employees are and how they treat your customers like trash.Pro tip: If you can't help someone say so. Filing wrong tax returns, yelling and humiliating your clients is not the way.Edit: BTW, I tried calling your service, but I hung up after being bounced off here and there for 30 minutes, so yes, it bolsters my belief that you just don't care.

I've been a loyal customer for years. I lost my husband at the end of 2020. Last year I was told it was 320 because I had to file both things for us and his daughter. Then was promised this hear it would be more affordable and easier. It was more... I told tyler what I had set aside and he didnt even try to fit it. He couldnt answer half my questions and constantly had to ask for help. I then spent 4 hours at fidelity to help him, for him to spend 20 mintues with me and ask for almost 400 from the grieving suicide widow. He never mentioned pricing till the very end when it was to late. I feel robbed and disrespected. Your online pricing is nothing like what you actually charge. I will be sharing my awful experience with every widow and widower I know. You lost a good customer who truly needed help during a hard time.
