even though i did read the reviews about the horrific experiences at this budget location, i figured i’d give it a shot anyway because it was the cheapest option for a moving truck. worst mistake ever.upon me arriving to pick up the truck i reserved, i was informed that the only truck available for me had a dead battery. lady at the desk told me that they were unsure of when a technician would be out to replace the battery, so i ended up just making a reservation for a uhaul before i even left the parking lot.i’m frustrated that they didn’t bother calling me to inform me of this booking mishap and waited until i drove to the location to tell me that i basically didn’t have a reservation. thankfully uhaul was extremely easy and painless to rent and i highly recommend them instead! the most upsetting part about all of this is that THREE DAYS after i was supposed to pick up the truck, i was charged $75 from budget even though my reservation was canceled due to the dead truck.do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere.

Worst customer service ever. Do not book with this company. They cancelled my truck just before I moved after I had hired movers. I called and tried to find an alternative and was told they had no trucks and they couldn't do anything about it. Terrible place.

So to summarize all of my frustration:1. The vehicle I reserved and paid for was given away and I could not be compensate to for a smaller vehicle and paid $150 for an upgrade. That should have been free since mine was given away.2. The SUV needed an oil change and the customer service rep at the Fayetteville, NC airport was rude and did not want to get the oil changed or swap the car out.3. I had to dive the SUV 10 hours back to Indianapolis, IN with low oil, through the mountains with my 8 year old daughter. Feeling very unsafe. Luckly we did not get stuck on the side of the mountain, but if we were, who would have saved us?Budget needs to do better. As a loyal client, I will never rent from here again.

By far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had . I reserved a truck on Monday and they pushed back my date to Thursday saying that their truck had a broken windshield. I went into the office and the front desk person was very rude saying I didn’t have a reservation. I showed them the confirmation number and she then claimed that the trucks still had broken windshield and when I went out to see the trucks the windshields were all intact. Terrible company.

Worst experience of my life! I would say NEVER go here and NEVER rent from budget EVER. They throw random fees at you, give you a truck that has no oil and expects you to put oil in the truck with your own money, they make it extremely difficult to return the truck, they gave a truck that doesn’t take gas and then somehow expect you to still put gas in the truck, etc. If I could give a no star rating on google I totally would. I want compensation or a full refund and they argue with you about getting that, as well as giving you an attitude when you ask to speak to a manager. I was explaining the issue about the truck not taking gas and they act like you’re stupid and didn’t try 3 whole different gas stations to confirm that it’s not the gas stations it’s the truck. Then, when you explain one issue to them they decide to say random info about the truck being stolen when I was trying to return the truck 2 days before the actual return date. I’ve never dealt with a company worse than this tbh. When I went to return the vehicle, I was told I can drop it off after hours and put the key in the drop box however they completely blocked all entrances to be able to return the vehicle so I had to parallel park the truck right in front of one of the gates they used to block the entrance off with. Absolutely ridiculous and worst company in the world that I have ever dealt with.

I wish I had read other reviews before renting from this location and Budget Truck rental in general. Do Not rent a truck from them. Period. After reading all the horror stories on here and on the BBB site, I am grateful our truck made it 600 to our destination. We were fortunate to not get stuck on the side of the road. The truck was not in good condition at all, the check engine light and a few other lights were on but we were told it was all the had, even though it was not what we ordered. And there was a note on the window that said local only. Not very reassuring. Tried to switch out trucks through customer service in India and got no where. Was told I would need to contact roadside assistance. They never took me off hold. Again, by the grace of God we made it 10 hours but I willNever ever use this company again!

Don't expect your reserved moving truck to be there for you on moving day. Don't expect anyone to pick up the phone at this location. Essentially, don't expect customer service here. They don't care.Take your business elsewhere. Unfortunately, one star is one too many. The lady at the counter deserves zero.

My fiancé was told there was no truck despite making a reservation a month in advance. They then called him back to tell him they had the truck and it would be available Friday at 4. He confirmed this on Tuesday. We showed up at 3:30 today and they are closed, despite telling him a truck would be available Friday and their hours showing they were open. Now we are waiting for budget to find us a truck the day before we move and have no guarantees we will get one.

NO STARS! I rented a truck by phone 2 weeks prior to moving. Received confirmation at the time of rental and the day before we were to pick up the truck. We get to the Budget on N. Keystone in Indianapolis and the Budget employee was helping someone else. We sat down. After about 10 mins the employee looks at us and asks if we were there for a truck. After we said yes, she proceeded to nonchalantly tell us that they have no trucks. So at first I was just a little confused and said excuse me??? we have confirmation that we had a truck reserved. She said the trucks are out of service. She was not apologetic in the least. I then got very upset and said we have people meeting at our house to move what the (blankety blank) are we supposed to do? In the mean time the customer ahead of us looks at me and tells us that the same thing happened to them the day before - came to pick up the truck that they reserved for Friday and budget didn't have any trucks!!! They had to reschedule their move and as you might suspect, they were not happy with Budget either. The employee proceeded to tell me that I could try another location to see if they have any trucks. The other customer told her that she should try to find another truck for us - that was her job. The employee just ignored us and never said another word to us. I screamed that I was going to give them the worse blankety blank reviews that I can along with a few more choice words. I then had to gather myself and after realizing that this wasn't just a bad dream, stormed out the door. I have to admit I hardly ever curse but in that moment in time I had the worse potty mouth within the city limit - I apologize to the other customers in the store. Anyway, after much calling and visiting other truck rental businesses we were able to find a smaller Uhaul on the other side of town. Funny thing is that I was going to rent a Uhaul because it was closer to our house and I have always rented from them but Budget was cheaper so, I chose them. As you can see, that was a huge mistake. As they say, cheaper is not always better. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be careful about renting from Budget. I wouldn't want someone else to go thru what we did - it just added alot more stress to an already stressful day -moving day.

Unreliable. I reserved a truck almost A full month in advance. I received a phone call 3 days before my move from someone at Budget informing me that they no longer had the truck available and we’re canceling my reservation. They offered no solutions and no alternative trucks, only a 1-800 number with outsourced support reading from a script. I’m not sure how it’s possible to reserve a truck that they don’t have unless they just don’t know how to manage their business.I called the 1-800 support number and asked for it to be escalated to find an alternate truck from an alternate location and was willing to drive up to 25 miles and delay my start time. The support rep was nice and took down my info and said I would receive a call within two hours. I never received a call. I will never use budget again and I will advocate to everyone I know to never use budget.

The worst service, the 800 number is not worth dialing as the agents only read from a script. They offer NO solutions or options. I had a 2nd rented reserved, I would rater pay the extra $200 at Penske than deal with the stress and unprofessionalism of Buget, you get what you pay for and the equipment was terrible!

This is by far THEE worst customer service I have received in a very long time. I rented at Penske with NO problems and excellent customer service. Yes Penske cost more, but you get what you pay for. I called Budget's 800 number three times an all three times I was told someone would call me back pithing 15 minuets to 2 hours. none ever called after days. I went to Budgets website and requested a call, still no call. The 800 number only has those that read from a script - no empathy, no sympathy, no adjustments, no concessions made for their poor service. It completely deplorable to work with this company. I wish I could give less than 1 star!

Please do not rent with Budget! They called me less than 24 hours before my move and said that they had no truck for me and had zero options. Just sorry we don't guarantee that we will give you a truck. Go to UHaul. or Penske. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON SUCH A TERRIBLE COMPANY.
