They charged me 340.00 for damage to the SUV I did not do. The office where we checked in was chaos (DEN - Airport). They gave us a vehicle that had literally just came back within the last 30 minutes. It smelled strongly of body odor. We wanted to review the car's condition with the agent but he stated he did not have the time. I took a video of the exterior of the SUV prior to leaving the parking lot. We returned the SUV without incident 5 days later. Fast Forward 2 months and I see a 340.00 charge on my credit card. Initially they said we damaged the SUV - but I had video evidence that the dent was there upon recepit. Then they came back and said we punctured a tire. How would I get it back ot the location if that was the case. Regardless, this went on and on. I learned unless you want to go to small claims court, you are helpless. Please do yourself a favor and give your money to Enterprise. You won't regret it.

Customer service is not good at this location. Unfriendly, uninterested and rude. Like they want to get over on you somehow. Will go to Hertz next time as this place sucks.

I reserved a truck online and they called me the next day and said they didn't have it now, but might have another size available. They said they would call me back but never did. When I called to confirm the day after they said they had no record of my reservation or calling me on the phone the day before. They cancelled my reservation, didn't find me another truck, and pretended it never happened. Now I'm 1 day from moving with no truck.

Made a reservation for a 12 foot truck online. Got the confirmation. 2 days before our move they call to let us know that not only do they not have the truck and they did not have a way to upgrade us to a bigger one either but they asked us to take a van. In what world did they think we would réserve a truck if a van was sufficient for us. Ended up having to cancel this reservation and go with a different company, and as you can imagine the prices for reserving two days prior to a move aren’t the same. We were lucky to even get a truck at this point. The person on the phone told us that a reservation doesn’t guarantee a truck, I wonder what is even the point of making a reservation at all.

Made a reservation for a truck on March 22nd for May 2nd. I got a call on April 29th saying they do not have the truck available and only a cargo van. She said she wanted to let me know sooner rather than later which it was definitely later, 3 days before my move. I usually go with U-Haul but Budget was a little cheaper but now I understand why, thankfully U-Haul had a truck for me in such short notice. It would've been nice to get a call 2 weeks before, even 1 week before, but that didn't happen. The worst customer service I have experienced. Do not try to save money and pay a little more to save you the stress.

The poor reviews prior to this one are legit. Rented a 26’ truck to go one way from IN to NC. Cab of the truck is disgusting. The box was filthy as well. The truck mechanically was unsafe, especially for someone who is not experienced driving large trucks. I drive for a living and have driven some junk trucks over my 30 years of driving. This was the absolute worst. I made as much of our trip as I could stand. Now we are waiting on Budget to find us another truck and crew to swap the loads. I will try to update this review as things develop.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only did they not have the truck that I booked, the ONE person working was cleaning out his car, and I had to track him down to be helped. He also somehow “overlooked” my booking, and swore he didn’t have any reservations for that day despite my confirmation email. Once informed that they didn’t have the truck they allowed me to book, he offered the smaller available one, and tried to charge me more for it. Since I would have to make multiple trips, he had to be pushed very hard to offer a mileage coverage. He then continued to say I couldn’t drive it since I am 19, but I showed him that I payed for the underaged driver’s fee, and he still gave me a hard time. Once I got back to drop off truck, he charged for more miles than we tracked (I kept record since seeing they will hike up your miles), then didn’t give us the 20 free miles he said he would. I still haven’t had the security deposit dropped, so I’m sitting at a $240 charge for a $70 booking. Can’t get ahold of anyone. There were also FINGER NAILS inside the cup holders. Literally so disgusting, rude, dirty, and straight up horrible service. No idea how they are even still open.

I don't usually write reviews, in fact, this is my first one on Google. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I reserved a moving truck a month ahead and received a phone call 2 days before my moving date about the lack of trucks they have. Now I am in a situation where I have to pay extra fees at other places to rent a truck. Save yourself the trouble and go some where else, but Budget. Look at all of the other Budget Truck Rental places' review. It is proof to stay away from this Budget. STAY AWAY!

Should of trusted the reviews that this isn't a place to do business with. Rented 2 weeks prior to needing to move and day before move they cancel our reservation with no reason at all except that they didn't have a truck.

STAY AWAY!!! Rented a Sprinter van for business purposes. At 11pm only 5 miles away from rental office van blows a tire on 465. Discover that both rear tires are already spares and there is no spare on the van to replace blown tire. Tow company able to replace tire does not arrive until 330am. Missed my dock time in Iowa and lost $$$. Budget only offered $20 on a $260 rental to compensate. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.

I made a reservation with budget two weeks prior to the date I needed the truck. They confirmed my reservation on Wednesday and then Thursday night at 6:30 PM they called to tell me they did not have a truck for me. I needed the truck for Saturday morning to move my dad to assisted-living and to make three trips to different stores for furniture. I had everything planned out and their excuse was they missed judged the number of trucks they would have back. This left me scrambling for a truck and nobody from budget called me back to give me a reasonable explanation. I would have given them a zero but I had no option. I see why their score is so low. Poor customer service. How do you have a reservation and then you don't?

Tried to get my truck rental today. Reserved 24 hours in advance, saw nowhere on confirmation email that this timeline didn't guarantee a truck (when going back to review the email I STILL can't find this supposed disclaimer, so I still can't figure out exactly what time period actually guarantees you a truck, one employee said 24 hr while another said 48.... ). You would think the word reservation implies that something is reserved.... Showed up at scheduled pick up time to find out there were no trucks available. Customer service severely unhelpful, I had to insist that they call other local Budget offices to try to secure another truck. No luck, no trucks available at all. I tried explaining that my storage unit lease ended today and now I would be charged an entire extra month and that I would also lose the deposit I paid for professional movers. Lost over $200 today bc of Budget, not to mention an entire day wasted. When you work during the week, weekend days are precious rarities to get things done. Called U-haul and another local truck rental company, they too had nothing available. What budget should have done is 1) make it ABUNDANTLY clear during the reservation process that nothing is actually guaranteed and 2) called me ahead of time before wasting a trip to the pick up location and another hour inside the office while I pleaded with them to try to secure another truck. One employee was trying to be nice about helping, the other was extremely unhelpful, condescending, and rude and pointed out several times that it was in the terms and conditions that this could happen. Avoid Budget, rent with a truck rental company that ONLY reserves actual available trucks. U-Haul online reservations shows you real time availability of trucks, stick with them. And if you do end up going with Budget read every single tiny term and condition and be prepared to possibly not have the truck on the day you want. The cheaper prices aren't worth it. Go with U-Haul or Penske.
