Stayed here when we were making our way back east during a cross country road trip. We are IHG card holders and love finding dog friendly hotels in great locations. The room was clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to Riverside Park from the hotel. Would be a hotel for a longer stay.

We are 2½ to 3 hours away from home. Close to I U Methodist hospital 8 minutes away. My husband got injured on his job. So he had to have surgery here. While his mom and I went back and forth to hospital and hotel. The service was great and greeted just great. Like a miniature apartment. Stove, dishwasher, 2 tvs, couch turns into a hide away bed. Have not looked around. Just sleeping here and going to the hospital.

It was a good place to stay over night before a procedure at the hospital early the next morningNearby activities: Near the IU hospital, within walking distance, my husband walked it several times to keep from moving the car in the hospital garage.

This place is a Hidden Jem. I travel a lot for work, and this is one of the Nicest places I have ever stayed in. The place is well cared for. Staff is great, and the rooms are top notch.

I have stayed at the CandleWood numerous times this year as my husband was in and out of the hospital waiting for a kidney and liver transplant. This place was such a blessing to me. The shuttle service back and forth to the hospital was so helpful. The rooms are very clean and they felt like a home away from home. The staff has always been so friendly and helpful as well. I would highly recommend this hotel if you have loved ones in the hospital. I would agree the entrance needs more lighting at night but that is my only issue. This place is wonderful.

Stayed here for several days while my son was getting heart surgery at Riley's Children's Hospital because we were on the wait list for the Ronald McDonald House. This hotel was perfect for our extended stay (kitchen, etc.) and was very nice with a recent remodel (don't pay attention to the older pics listed!) and was especially good for the price. I also loved the fact that they used big soap BOTTLES instead of being wasteful with little bars of soap,The staff was also very helpful in working to help me when I needed to work with a third party reservation company to resolve a booking issue. One thing I will note is that they don't really do any kind of room service. My trash was starting to smell after a couple days, so I asked about room service, and I was told that there's only room service once a week (after you've stayed for a week), and I was directed to a dumpster in the basement (behind a door marked "employees only," oddly enough), where I could dump my own trash. And when my husband called the front desk asking for fresh towels to be brought to the room, he was told "sorry, but our brand doesn't do that." I'm totally fine doing my own cleaning, trash, etc., but I just recommend to the hotel that they post signs in each room clearly stating that policy and providing directions about where guests can dispose of their trash, pick up fresh towels, etc.Rooms: Extremely nice, clean, comfortable, and updated.Nearby activities: Great location if you're in the area for the hospitals.Walkability: The hotel is technically about a 20–25-minute walk to Riley's, but unfortunately there aren't any good crosswalks for crossing the big roads necessary to get over in order to reach the hospital. I found that out the hard way when I attempted the walk while pushing my baby in a stroller. Hopefully the city will improve the sidewalks and add crosswalks in the area soon, especially since this is one of the (if not THE) closest hotels to the hospital.

Hotel staff were very friendly. My room was clean and had plenty of space. There is only one door available to enter the hotel. The door locks after a certain time at night. The only ways you can enter the hotel are with your room key or if the front desk staff let you in, which made me feel safe. I will definitely come back the next time I stay in Indy!Rooms: My room was very clean and had tons of space.Safety: I loved that the front door locks after a certain time of night.Noteworthy details: The bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure, and the water stayed hot during my entire shower. Great hotel!

My husband was having surgery at IU Health. Since we were from out of town, I needed a place to stay. Procare helped me choose the Candlewood Suites. The location was great and easy to find. It does, however, need better lighting at the entrance as it is hard to navigate after dark. The hotel was quiet and felt safe. I had planned on using the shuttle service to get back and forth to the hospital. Unfortunately, it was out of service. Most of the staff was nice, but I did have 1 encounter where the lady working the desk was not helpful or empathetic at all.Rooms: Room 301 was very spacious and comfortable. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. I loved the sunlight through the many windows. The curtains allowed us to block the light at night. We had a very peaceful, quiet stay.

We got a king suite when we stayed for one night (all that was available at the time). The bed was much more comfortable than I was expecting from a hotel and out of 150+ hotel stays, I'd rate the bed as one of the top 3 for sure. Our room had a kitchenette with a fridge, stove top, microwave, and coffee maker. They also furnish some pots and pans, and the utensils to cook a meal with a setting arrangement for 4.The TVs could honestly be a bit nicer, they are dated and on the smaller side. With how large the rooms actually are, some may see this as an inconvenience (or those with bad vision).I will also say that if you're over 6'3", it leaves a bit to be desired. The ceiling is just about 7' high and I come close to hitting my head on light fixtures.Overall I was happy with my stay and the room was very clean. The assistants at the front desk were also super respectful.Rooms: The king suite has a living room with attached kitchenette, a hallway leading to the bathroom and bedroom with a linen closet off to one side. The sink is outside of the bathroom in an alcove with enough storage for a long stay. The bedroom has a chest of drawers and an available closet for storage as well. In addition to another closet in the living room.
