April 2020 by Anna D.
April 18, 2020. No drive through. On April 13,I requested through their automatic system to refill my prescription for the eye drops. Nothing happened. On April 15, 2020, I called to check on a status of my prescription. I really needed my eye drops because I ran out of them and had a bad red eye irritation, pain and swelling. The old lady answered the phone and she told me I need to contact my doctor. Didn't give me any details why, just said the pharmacy tried to contact my Dr. I immediately contacted my eye doctor and they responded beautifully and timely. They are always very responsive. Dr. and a nurse even called me back the same day. Next day, I still didn't have a refill. I called CVS pharmacy on Fox Road again. The same old lady seemed to be grumpy and irritated with me. I don't feel she likes people. She informed me that they will NOT fill my Dr.'s prescription even after the Dr.'s Office sent it in. She said they can fill my prescription for a full price that is 10 times higher than I pay with my insurance or I need to get a new prescription. I never heard such a nonsense before, so I requested to speak with a manager. Why she didn't said anything before she sent me to call my Dr.? Additionally, she questioned whether I need my eye drops! Really? The manager pretty much told me the same thing defending his rude employee, but at least said he will call my Dr. Since then, I had been checking online whether I got my prescription filled. Finally, I saw it was filled and today, on April 18, 2020 I picked it up. Who need all this stress just to fill a simple eye drop prescription ? I definitely don't. All these days, I suffered without my eye drops. What a terrible and heartless way to treat customers especially in this difficult time that we all are going through. Needless to say, I'm changing my pharmacy.
