Location: 4430 Mann Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46221To be sure, over the last several weeks, all service and product quality has declined. Below is last night's experience, and there have been others prior that have been as disappointing. My driver was friendly, and overly so. He took the time to bring me my receipt to be signed, leaving the order in the car, and solicited for a tip (what??) as he ran back to obtain the order. I signed the receipt. As he came with part of the order, I asked if he were to receive the copy I signed. He saw that I had elected to not add a tip and stated, "Well, if you're not going to add a tip, I don't need it."I then said, I intended to tip in cash, but was waiting to see if the salad I ordered was included, he perked up when I said "cash" and "tip," and then said, "Wait. You got a salad? Let me see the receipt." He perused the receipt, and said, "Yep." I responded by saying, "So, you don't have it?" His response was, "Oh, I've got it," as he ran back to the car. The whole time he went on and on about how he got and did everything right, and if I ever saw him, I would know my order was complete.I tipped him.I opened my salad, and it was a watery, brown, green sludge, as if it had sat in a cooler for weeks. This truly makes me wonder about storage practices, product rotation, temperatures, and the overall quality of the food/product, at large. This kills people. Maybe you've noticed? The board of health certainly has, and should know about this occurrence.I called the store, and a young lady answered. I explained what happened, and she stated, "I know what you're talking about, and they were told to throw that case away."Then it was stated that another salad could be delivered, or I could be given 20% off my next order. I said 20% would not cut it. She then suggested that the salad was only $5, so 20% was reasonable (I was charged $7.49 before tax/delivery). I suggested for the inconvenience alone, it was not. Using a base price of $8 and simple math, I would have to place an order of $40 just to be made whole, after the fact, and for a mistake I did not make. No thank you.In exasperation I said I'll take the salad. She then asked if I needed dressing, and a fork, and I said yes. She then quibbled over whether or not those items were included with the original order. I said yes, but this is the least she could do.She was obviously frustrated, and stated she would have a salad delivered, "Soon." Then hung up. There was no, "Goodbye," "Have a good night," "Thank you," or "I'm sorry (another missed opportunity)." There was nothing said. It was literally, "click."In fact, not only was there no apology, but there was no recognition of the experience in its entirety having oozed poor customer service. Pathetic. When the replacement salad showed up, the driver felt the need (or was given the instruction?) to pull the salad out of the bag that should have been handed to me, and wave/rub his hand over the face of it, shake it, and announce that they had found a better salad for me. The salad was then given to me. He then fished out the one dressing, and handed it to me. There was no fork, and he left carrying the empty bag. Why was this necessary?Over the last several weeks it seems that ownership(?), staff, leadership, and quality have fallen off a cliff. Prior to the recent weeks mentioned, for the most part, this location did a decent enough job. Given my experiences with the staff, service, and food over the last two weeks alone, I highly doubt I'll ever order from this location again. Honestly, I know whoever reads this, and the store staff at large, do NOT care. A shame.Toodles!
