Walked in to place an order like I always do at fastenal everywhere else in the country. Was told I was not a customer of theirs even though we have a corporate account with fastenal. They placed my order and said we will call you tomorrow. The parts were in the same city I ordered in. Figured no problem they truck them over in the morning. Called the next day at 11, asking went through 2 people and then a manager who was less than professional. The manager stated this is why we don't do orders like this. Like I'm the one who is at fault for thinking it would only take a day to receive the order. They were kind enough not to charge me the restock fee, which were the first words out of the second representatives mouth when I said cancel the order. She was huffy and put on hold almost instantly for the manager. The manager seemed more interested in convincing me that I was somehow in the wrong then trying to help a customer. I'm thinking grainger may be the better way to go from now on. Hopefully, others will have a better experience than I did.

Just found out I paid 26.7% more (over $32 additional) because I didn't order it online first. How do you justify that inflated price when you guarantee in stock items will be in a locker within an hour? Does it cost that much more to have an employee pull the product while I wait at the counter? Give me a break!!

I was overcharged for safety glasses and I wasn’t given my company discount. My Sales Representative had to contact the manager of the store to get us a fair price for the safety glasses which ended up being $40 less than what they sold them to me for. This store is a rip off. Go to a different store because they are all independent.
