45 minute wait to make a sandwich. Extremely dysfunctional staff. I essentially watched the titanic sink for 45 minutes. Meat goes in the press, bread is toasted, sandwiches are assembled. There is no reason outside of incompetence that this should take more than 5 minutes.

They were pretty short staffed so it was a little slower than normal, but it was definitely worth the wait. Great sandwich!Wheelchair accessibility: The curb on to the sidewalk probably needs more ramp options but there are some. Restaurant inside is accessible including the bathroom. Good grab bars.

The steamer is the best sub ever, and you have to add the Captains sauce.

Use to be a dependable go to for a good sandwich. Not sure what has happened. Never fully staffed. Not guaranteed they will be open during the posted hours. Last sandwich the bread was stale and just did not taste good like they use to. Will not be back for a while.

The sandwiches we had here were very good but took a long time due to lack of staffing. We visited on Sunday Dec 3 at noon. When we entered we saw there was only one employee working, who informed us the wait would be 20 minutes. After he wrapped up making several sandwiches he took our order and those of the two groups behind us and then got to work on making ours. The sandwiches took 10-15 minutes to make, but completely understandable given the lack of staff and groups of people still coming in. When we got the sandwiches they were very good indeed.I hope the gentleman who got left on his own today to hold down the restaurant sees the tips he was graciously given by nearly every person who dined during our visit, or gets a raise. He did a great job making the best of a bad situation, balancing his tasks effectively while providing great service and food despite the challenge of running the restaurant on his own. He should be commended for his efforts.

Had them before, not bad at all. Love their treats. My last order I tried the Mac & Cheese, not a fan at all. But overall I still enjoy them

Order was not prepared correctly very upsetting I explained exactly the way I want our subsI rounded my payment to donateAs I waited I realized they was raising more money by selling empty pickle bucketsSo I bought one so I could donate again I even tipped there box on the counterSo 3 donations in totalOnly for my food to be incorrectly prepared super upsetWhen I think about how much extra I spent just in donationsJust disappointed you could of kept that empty pickle bucket I bought I rather had our dinner prepared correctly

86th/michigan location. The hook and ladder sandwich was so good. I just started eating and forgot to take a photo!!Service wasn't as helpful as I would have liked. I was having trouble with the app, and he wasn't too concerned.Relatively clean bathrooms!

This location is great: The people who work here are very friendly, the restaurant is clean, there's lots of parking, it's easy to order on the Firehouse Subs app and pick up in store, and they are freaky fast at fulfilling orders. (Just like that other place.) I'm just kind of bummed that my sandwich was mid. I got the Hook & Ladder sub, which has honey ham in it, and that made it very sweet. The bread that comes standard is a white sub roll, and it was very pale and doughy and also sweet. There was a lot of mayo and dressing on the sandwich, so it was dripping with every bite. It was not a pleasant sandwich-eating experience. And not just that, but my sandwich made my hands smell for hours afterward! Even after washing my hands with soap twice! I don't know what it is about the sandwich (maybe the bread, maybe the onions or the spread), but it made my hands smell doughy and sweet.Maybe I didn't order very well, because some of the other sandwiches that the people behind the counter were producing looked a lot better than the Hook & Ladder. Maybe next time, I should order a different sandwich.
