the checkout the owner of the store over charges you more than the real price of the product itself. I went there I only buy vegetables and some snack it only 8 items and it cost $140!I don’t recommend you to Golden Mon Grocery!!! Scammer!!!

I was so excited to have an Asian grocery so close to my house, and enjoyed seeing so many authentic products. However, when I went to make a purchase, I noticed that the expiry date was in 2013... after noticing that, I looked around a little more and didn't see a single product with an expiry date that hasn't already passed.

Bought a curry mix 6 months ago I could have bought at Kroger (S&B) and just noticed the expiration date on package is 4/6/2017. I dont think they have an inventory method that provides quality goods. Will not shop there or recommend. Sorry.

A small and cluttered store, but a great variety of Chinese and other Asian foods

The products and foods are extremely over-priced. Compare to other Asia markets, they would sell their products 10-50% more.

My wife is Thai. We live on the north west side of indianapolis. This store is specifically for the Burmese and thai community around the Nora area. Americans might have a hard time finding or understanding what to look for here. The prices are good and if you're looking for something quick to throw a dish together it's a good small shop. Otherwise if you're looking for a bigger selection of asian food you'll want to go to Saraga or Viet Hua.

This is a tiny Asian grocery store off of 86th Street, facing a cluster of apartments. It's so small that I've never actually seen it while driving down 86th Street, but only came across it because I was looking for a garage sale in the neighborhood and happened to see it out of the corner of my eye. This place is jam-packed full of goods. You can only walk down the aisles one person at a time because the aisles are so narrow and there's just so much stuff. You'll find everything from soups to canned lychees to candy to noodles to beverages. The woman behind the counter was not the friendliest person I ever met. In fact, from the time that I parked until I left, she and another woman there kept staring at me, as though I had interrupted something important and personal, and they wanted me to leave. I was getting the "go away" vibe so bad that I got out of there pretty quickly without buying anything, and it felt like they were relieved to see me go. Weird times! I don't know what that was all about, but hopefully they are more welcoming to other customers in the future.
