Never answer their phones and don’t deliver cars when you’ve booked them. Failed to get me a car and then didn’t answer over two days. Had to call corporate to get the confirmed vehicle rental cancelled. Terrible experience overall. Would not recommend.

The main issue was nobody answering the phone. I called every 5-10 minutes for 2 hours before someone answered. All I had was a question that I needed answered before I went there. Upon arrival the employee was rude and cold. I got the car with no walk thru or explanation of anything. I’ve rented several times before and I’ve never had that.
When it was time to drop off the car I again tried to call to find out where to drop the car off because he didn’t tell me, (my car was being worked on at a dealership). I tried about 5-6 times and finally went to the hertz location and had to wait again for service just to tell me to leave it at the dealership. FIVE DAYS LATER I got a call asking me where the car was. I proceeded to tell them where it was and again I was rudely spoken to.
Fortunately I don’t need rentals very often but I will definitely be steering clear of hertz unless they’re the last resort.

If you are a bit late they give away your reservation! Completely idiotic policy - people with car needs may get delayed.

Avoid a headache.
Made a reservation 4 days before my trip, they called me the day before my departure, stating that they didn’t have availability cars evn though I paid in advance, they are not able to give you a refund through the location, you have to call and request a cancellation and refund..
That will take 7 days .!! 🙄

One of the worst rental locations in Indianapolis! Poor customer service and communication. They even did a hard inquiry on credit score without approval! I have NEVER had any issues like this with their Brownsburg location. I was told “different locations have different rules”.

My experience was totally fine until I brought the car back…early. Came into town for a family emergency not knowing how long I’d need to stay. Booked with hertz for 6 days. Realized I can go back home after a few days and brought the car back 3 days early. Company policy is to still charge me for the 6 days. I WILL NEVER USE HERTZ EVER AGAIN. I don’t suggest you do either. I didn’t listen to the other reviews and used them to save some money and it ended up costing me money. SCAMMERS. Guys at the desk were fine but were bound the there newly implemented policy. He told me I could keep the car. Well, no, I can’t because I’m flying back out today. Only a company hurting for money and/or customers would have this ridiculous policy. Well, they quickly gained and lost another customer. Pro tip hertz: be better at your service and you’ll have to worry less about your profits tanking. A 2 star rating on google is NOT good but clearly for a reason.

Awful service. They called to tell me they are canceling my reservation because they don't have a car for me. This is days after I reserved the car. And they can't refund my money I have to call and get my money back. Guy named Levi was very rude and cold.

Scheduled a rental car and I get there just to be told there were no cars available. My reservation was at 9am and they called at 8:56am to let me know. I didn't answer because I was rushing there and when I called the number back there was no answer. Then when I get there Hertz has only one staff working with a long line. He was polite and handled moody customers well but my experience was horrible. I will not be using Hertz in the future.

Is there anyway possible to give negative stars? 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! This is the second time I’ve reserved a vehicle 1 week+ in advance that I have had a cancellation THE DAY BEFORE I’m suppose to pick up. At the same location with no assistance finding a new vehicle, no guidance, not even the slightest amount of cooperation in fixing an error on THEIR END. Do better hertz 82 nd street.

Never have the right type iof car when we reserve one. Last time we we t to pick up, we reserved a a mid size 4wd suv. All they had was a malibu or some electric pos. Even though driving in back looks they had about 5 or 6 vehicles in back. They have NO washbasin. Cars are always dirty and smell like crap trying to cover up smoke smells. The guy that is always there seems so disinterested in being there. ( I get that location is probably not easy to work at but fake a damn smile and engage with people)
