First of all, these reviews that I see about this place is honestly just beyond stupid.This place is honestly one of the best rental locations that I know other than the one that is near me. This location truly makes a bad day into a good day!The counter people at the front desk are PHENOMENAL! They know what they are doing and I noticed they were have an issue with the system and they had grabbed their branch manager which I believe his name is Korey?, he was awesome in assisting his colleagues and making sure everything was smooth sailing from there.If you are HONESTLY looking for a good place to rent from. Go to this location. These people who are putting these made-up reviews are just being rude and don't understand the world of rental cars.Also to the people who are complaining about the man at the desk, y’all need to chill.( I used to work for a rental car company! )

Horrible horrible horrible, scheduled to get a car just for them to tell me last second they didn’t have it, nor did they have any other car for me to rent, then basically told me to figure it out on my own and then hung up on me.

I always booked through Hertz and never had a problem. I usually get my cars without reservations when I got to this location he said he can help he had asked for my card and drivers license once I gave it to him, he said they don’t have nothing. Didn’t even check on his computer or anything. If you do end up coming here, be careful for the Caucasian male with glasses very rude. This experience made me hate renting cars I’d rather take the bus.

I been all over the states and I’ve never had any problems with rental I just want to let everyone know do not come in here I promise you would regret it the worst customer service ever and they charge you for stuff that I’ve never seen before

Pay close attention to the other reviews. This place blows big time and the staff is a bunch or arrogant sassy you know what’s. They almost seem to take pleasure and pride in being rude and they seem excited to bear you bad news. Used to use Hertz but I will never in my life use this company again. Especially the 82nd street location. Do yourself a favor and don’t book with hertz

Received a vehicle thru the insurance for a mid size car. The first day I called and they didn’t have anything. The second day I called and they didn’t have anything. Told me I had to call around to other locations which I did. Some answered and some rang then disconnected. Then nothing. Third day I called and after complaining that they promised they would have a car today he magically found a Kia soul and told me that was midsize. Sheesh these people make it hard to be nice. The manage Austin wasn’t mean just not very helpful

I had a three-day car rental, but the promised mid-size SUV was not available when I arrived. Austin decided to "upgrade" me to a different vehicle, but that came at a cost of an extra $10 per day. He also assured me I could return the car after hours without incurring additional charges and that he would "take care of closing out my account". I dropped off the car at 7:05pm (6pm closing), only to be charged $119 the following day.I went to the location to talk with Austin about this egregious fee (only because I could not get to customer service via phone), he conveniently blamed it on "Corey," who supposedly completed my contract. Corey eventually called me back, admitting that Austin had "misspoken" about the return time. It's beyond frustrating that I'm being penalized for a Hertz employee's careless words. After numerous calls and back-and-forths, Austin reluctantly promised a refund.It's now been an four weeks, and I'm yet to see a refund. This entire experience has just been horrible. I vow never to rent from Hertz again and advise others to take Hertz employees' promises with a grain of salt and make sure to record your conversation with the employees or get it in writing.As a side note, for those of you who try to get to customer service at this location after rental completed, press #5 (even though it says that # is for insurance companies). They cant even get their phones straight.**2 week update - quick response to the review, however, no contact from the local management, NO promised REFUND yet.

On June 29 I picked up a car at approximately 8 am at 6520 E 82nd Street, Castleton, IN 46250-3600. That same day there was bad weather and a branch of a tree fell on the glass of the car, I made the respective police report.The company sent a trailer and they took the car, I thought that this was all that had to be done because that was what they told me when I made the call to make the report, but then I saw the amount of 2,446.53 reflected that was withdrawn from my credit card the day 28 of July. I called customer service on multiple occasions and they did not give me any solution other than paying the money, on July 31 someone finally took my case seriously and promised me that they would give me an answer, but the didn't.On August 8, I went back to customer service and they told me that they were going to charge me for 8 days to rent the car, I feel that this is a theft from me since I only rented the car for four days from the 29th from June to July 2 and due to the accident I did not have the opportunity to use the car so I canceled the order when I called to report the accident and I was not provided with a second vehicle. In total I have a charge of 2,973.01 on my credit card that is only valid for 2,000, therefore it is overdrawn. All this has caused me many financial problems since they took money from my personal account with which I pay my monthly expenses to pay the credit card overdraft, which has led me to have problems paying my personal expenses, in addition to my credit low score in an excessive way. I asked them to please help me solve this event that has caused me so many problems without being my fault but until today's day they haven't help me at all.I hope this helps you not make the same mistake as me of renting a car from this company.

I can’t reach anyone here, after they canceled my reservation.They left me voicemail saying that they’re canceling my reservation due to the holiday and no one will pick up the phone to explain why. How about helping a VERY loyal customer find an alternative rental, like a good business would do? I’ve always worked with Hertz, but am considering giving my business elsewhere.Horrible!
