I owe 244k. 1st month due roughly 1,360. I payed 95k. I called them to inform them to make first month payment, drop mpi, and apply rest balance to principle. They did none of it. They chose to pay 2 monthly payments, apply only 10k to balance, did not take off mpi, the 661 interest payment dropped only to 631. That is not correct as well. I've called multiple time to still not corrected. As of right now, they owe me couple hundred on interest. Unless this is rectified immediately, I'm refinancing with another company. Worst service I've ever experienced in my life regarding mortgage company. This is my 5th home and I'm 52 years old. Take my advice, go someplace else.

As stated from so many other customers they have the worst customer service to put it simply. I will be so happy to cut ties with them next year when I sell my house.

Home point is simply the worst. They purchased my home loan. After purchasing, they wouldn’t allow me to make additional payments towards the principle. I found my original contract which didn’t have anything about not paying additionally. They said this was their “company policy”. In addition they claimed we didn’t have sufficient hazard insurance on the condo, this was provided by the HOA. I got a copy and provided it again. They informed me the proof I provided was sufficient. Our next statement had a policy of $99 in additional hazard insurance they had taken out on our behalf. In the end, I couldn’t get their customer service group to resolve either issue. I gave up since our plan was to sell the place in less then a year anyway. We are now with Mr. Cooper for our new home loan and they are fantastic if you want to go with a different option.

I sent all my information to Imelda Garcia. I emailed her multiple times. No response. I finally asked if she worked for Home point. She responded back that I had to start the process over again. Done with them.

This is the worst financial service I ever worked with. They have kept my mortgage money hostage during the renovation of my house, it has been a pain to do anything with them. Their version of secured fund transfer is sending a check via mail to my contractor. After 9m I got a new officer assigned and she said twice she had to look into it and never bothered to call back! Never ever trust them with your mortgage.
