Yesterday I had an experience with a Huntington Bank 5605 W 71st St, Indianapolis. Like no other. They asked me to walk through a metal detector walking into their bank. I emptied my pockets and tried to walk forward but the red light stayed solid. The banker came on through the intercom and told me to take off anything metal.I told her the only metal thing I had on me was my insulin pump and she asked me to remove it. I told her I just wanted to deposit money and continued to ask me to remove my metal things. At that point I asked her to open the door and let me out of the bank. Please educate your staff better, medical devices can not be removed for metal detectors. I will never to business with branch again and will go out of my way to nicer more inclusive branches such as 2630 W. 86th street. Indianapolis.

Not sure what went wrong. Made an appointment, went in to close out CD and they wouldn't accept the paper driver's license I was given by the state until my laminated one came in the mail. Now if this is good enough for the TSA and the police, why isn't it good enough for Huntington? They told me there was nothing they could do. I suspected that they wanted the CD to roll over to a pitiful rate so they could keep the account. There was no way my laminated ID was going to make it in time. Neither the manager or the account person I had made the appointment with would help me. They purposely started ignoring me. I tried calling the main Indianapolis branch from their lobby for some help or clarification and no one called me back or answered. So I went down the street to the Willow Lake Branch where they had no problem taking my temporary ID. Then I had to scramble to a bank an hour and a half away in Friday rush hour traffic to set up a CD with their good rate. Seriously stressful and all could have been avoided if I hadn't had to waste 2 hours on this ordeal. Since my father died in 2005 it has been nothing but problems with Huntington. I will be taking my mother's business elsewhere from now on, no matter what rate they offer. Seriously, what happened to all the nice, smart bankers? It seems they've been replaced by people who were recently fired from Walmart and McDonalds.

We made some changes to our account today. As we entered we were greeted by a friendly, Hi, how may I help? We were told to have a seat and someone would be with us shortly. We had planned on a lengthy wait but no more than 5 minutes later our names we called. I wish I could remember the Tellers name but I can't. She was super friendly and personable while continuing our transaction. She was thorough asking us to confirm all information entered before processing the transaction. Everything went smoothly and we were in and out of the bank in a little over 15 minutes. We were very pleased with the excellent customer service provided during our visit. The day-to-day dealings, cashing/depositing checks and ATM function have never been an issue.

Extremely annoyed with this bank. Beware if you're thinking about putting your $ in this bank. I tried to make a big purchase using my debit card....DENIED!! I called the bank and they explained that is part of their system to avoid fraud. They lifted the HOLD on the card which takes 30 Minutes.!!!! Imagine this scenario playing out in line at your favorite retail. Not only embarrassing it's time consuming. Who thought this was a good idea???? WTH.

The staff is extremely friendly. I go in to deposits my paycheck every week and they know me by name and they always ask me how my kids are and how my students are as they remember where I work. They are always super friendly to my 2 year old as well
