Well, it could've been better. The TV in our room straight up didn't work. The breakfast and drinks are crazy expensive for how mediocre they taste. Also, the soundproofing is non-existent.Also, our phone in the room went off at 1 in the morning randomly. If you're thinking about staying here, I'd reconsider.

Alright where to start. We visited this establishment a year ago, beautiful visit review on google. So here we are 2023 and a new review. In my integrity, I must be honest. 1. yes I still five star the Indianapolis Marriott East because there are still very good quality in this establishment. One being that the staff are extremely professional, friendly, assistive and courteous. 2. The parking lot, smoke area and entrance to lobby is well kept (Please don't complain about the debris that makes it into the lobby for it walks in with us). 3. Even though many complaints about the slowness of the elevator just keep in mind a fast elevator could become a problem the faster the elevator could burn a cord and you're stuck or will drop. So I see nothing wrong with slow movement of the elevator. 4. Alright I admit the rooms needs some work just like any dwelling over years of usage but if you the guest would inquire you would learn that the Indianapolis Marriott East is going soon under remodeling, trust you me the staff and management are aware of the issues that the establishment is going through. As a reviewer I do read others review but I don't solely base my choosing on others negative reviews those are the reviews that may bring me to checkout those establishments out myself because some complaints are truly isolated that only happens with the writer, I do believe with integrity as a reviewer we should be honest on an isolated situation and not ruin a business because of one or two that presents unprofessional behavior giving the establishment a chance to rectify and handle the employee/employees . But overall if the establishment still have good services and professionalism with other employees that should not be ruined. Now I will say that this morning we were startled by a extremely loud fire alarm sound and being the woman I am in my pj's and all I went to the desk to understand why? And learned that the Hotel was not the cause of the trigger it was the carelessness of Grunau Service Company so I do not hold indianapolis Marriott East. As an ex Loss Prevention Officer for Marriott properties the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel these incidents can happen do to the error of the companies hired to service any Hotels. So I don't hold Indianapolis Marriott East for today's scare. I am grateful for the excellent services we received from- Shahzad, Kolbi, Nate, Faith, Angel, Stacey, Mary Ritzer and Ed S the Gm. Their are many I wished I could have seen from last visit Diane, Jeff and many others whose names are on google review. Overall yes as a reviewer I still would return back to the Indianapolis Marriott East. And I still give this beautiful establishment a triple AAA+++.

I came here for a banquet so Im only reviewing the banquet service and food. The banquet staff should be retrained on how to properly service a large event with a plated meal. Half of our table was served and then they moved on to other tables instead of making sure the entire table is served first. We had to flag someone down to get the last 2 plates for the table. Then after getting the food, I had regrets. The dinner was a stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The mashed potatoes were thick and gummy. I am glad for the wedge salad and asparagus. They were the best parts of the meal.

First time coming here, this place is big and spacious upon first glance. Checking in was a bit difficult with pulling up my reservation. Please make sure that you put the parking pass on your car. The rooms were okay, I had a first floor room so I had a cool sliding door to go outside if need be. Perfect if you're a cigarette smoker. Beautiful pool and hot tub. What I was dissapointed about was that there are no microwaves in the room and you have to haul your way down to the front lobby, and use that microwave! It smells really bad too. I didn't stick around for breakfast as much as I wanted too. Would be cool, if they had a bar inside. Solid walking distance from a few places.

I just checked in 2 hours ago and I'm already looking up alternative accommodation. Don't be fooled by pictures of the lobby and restaurant. The rooms are run down and haven't been updated in years. Carpeting throughout the hallways and room is on the verge of disintegrating from wear and tear. Walls are paper thin; you can hear everything in the adjacent room. I stayed at a Super 8 once about 15 years ago, and that's what this place reminds me of.Rooms: Trash

I’ve stayed in a lot of Marriott’s all over the world. The rooms in this one rank as one of the worst in my opinion. The room itself was fairly clean and all but the the bed was super uncomfortable, the bathroom was TINY and the shower was a joke! The pool and gym are down by the front lobby and restaurants. Who wants to walk around the lobby in a wet swim suit or sweaty? Everything just feels old and like someone tried to slap a band aide on it and called it a Marriott.Rooms: Suck!

If you have options, don't do it. I can't speak for the conference center amenities, but we stayed here overnight. Lobby/bar area was nice. Staff was amazing! Rooms are OLD. Hallways are OLD. Carpet is OLD. Not even going through the details. Room was dirtly, old, breaking down, and being held together with caulk and thick paint....daughter looks up and says, "Why do you figure the ceiling is covered with glitter?" My response, "stripper." I wasn't joking. Its that kind of joint. Served the purpose of a place for Doordash deliveries for the night. There is a reason it was 70 bucks cheaper than the more convenient option. Parking was nice and there was security on site.

What makes this Marriott stand out is the staff, everyone is friendly and attentive. This is a great conference level Marriott and they still have a concierge floor and all the extra niceties. Also, Jeff at the front desk is an absolute treasure of an employee. He made us feel very special and welcomed for our rewards status. I have never received a warmer welcome and he took care of every question and request with flair and professionalism. We will be looking for reasons to come back to this Marriott even if it's just to see Jeff.

Hotel is older but it is clean. Some of the areas could use some updating but it is kept up well. Courtyard in the middle is a great place to relax. Pool is clean. People are friendly. The biggest downsize it’s on the side of town where there isn’t a whole

The staff was VERY nice. Unfortunately our room was VERY dated, we felt like we were transported back to the 1980's. Upon our arrival we found the location of the hotel was in a sketchy area of Indianapolis. We did see security patrolling the parking lot, which we appreciated. We had been traveling for 43 days across the Country. For a Marriott we were disappointed.

Husband and I traveled with two teenagers and booked a room with 2 queen beds. The room was very small, and the beds were only double beds, not Queen. We aren't small people, but agreed it would be okay, as it was only one night. We left our things in the room and went to an event downtown which ended late at night. We didn't return until about 11:30 pm. Got to the room and discovered the A/C didn't work. The room was hot and everything felt damp to the touch. We called the front desk, but they were unable to offer a solution. The hotel was sold out, and there was no one to service the AC. The room was completely unbearable, and there was no way any of us were going to be able to sleep while squeezed in together in those small beds in the hot room. So we had to leave in the middle of the night to try to find another place to stay. Needless to say, we were pretty unhappy about it. Leaving emotion out of it, I would like to say that I believe the hotel should be more prepared to handle this type of situation. Maybe keep a couple of rooms open so they have a backup for when things like this happen. Or at least try to help us relocate. I worked at a hotel for 13 years, and any time we were unable to accommodate a guest, we helped find a suitable replacement.I anticipate that our money will be 100% refunded, although the front desk staff was also unable to complete that task and suggested we call the manager. On a positive note, the lobby looks updated and very nice. The lobby bar staff was very friendly and professional. If the room would've been better, I'd have given this hotel a good review. Rooms definitely don't live up to the Marriott brand.Food & drinks: The lobby bar staff was very friendly and provided good service

Spacious and nice hotel in general. Good pool and fitness room, bar etc.But the skinniest beds I’ve ever seen. Why that??? And they don’t have any free coffee out in the morning. Anathema.

Very nice hotel with all of the amenities a business traveler needs. Friendly staff, clean lobby & room, Marriott made my stay very enjoyable. And a full service bar was nice to relax and have a ? after a long day at work.
