About Indianapolis Public Library - Central Library
The Indianapolis Public Library - Central Library is a beautiful and impressive building with six floors of resources. Its architecture is stunning, featuring tall ceilings and offering great views of the downtown skyline from the top floor. The library is cozy, quiet, and welcoming, making it a great place to read, study, or relax. It has a wide range of books, including a notable African American section with engraved figures and displays in multiple languages. The library offers many programs and events, along with computers, free Wi-Fi, and affordable printing services. Staff are friendly and helpful, creating a comfortable environment for visitors. Recent upgrades have enhanced the children's sections, and the building often hosts art exhibits. With more resources than one can keep up with, the library is an underrated gem of the city that encourages many visits for both learning and leisure.
One of the most beautiful libraries I've ever seen. When you are on the last floor (6th), you get to see the downtown skyline, 360 degrees. Worth many visits for sure!
