Got automatically signed up for their transfer fees program, losing $78 a month. They can't even find the document where I "signed up" for the program (because I didn't). When I called to get it resolved, they deleted my account. 0 STARS if I could

I’ve been a member for over 30yrs and I have been very satisfied with the service I receive . I only have one complaint ; there needs to be a branch closer in Indy ! I have to go almost to Greenwood . When there was a branch closer it was in a horrible part of town on the Eastside which made no sense.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IUCU. This branch especially but I’ve banked with 5th 3rd, Chase and PNC and finally found my forever bank! Highly recommend.

I visited the branch to deposit a cashier's check I received from a vehicle sale. The teller told me there would be a hold on the check which seemed unnecessary since it was a cashier's check. I questioned her then she whispered to another employee and mentioned my checking account balance was less than 1k at the time of the transaction. The check was for 10k. She then went on to say she could release the funds but that they normally don't do that. It's a cashier's check from Chase Bank, I have no idea why there should not be any hold on it. She also said that they take precautions because people can put a stop payment on a cashier's check which is completely false. Anyway, I asked her to deposit it into my savings account and she put it into checking. Overall, I left the branch feeling embarrassed. I have been with IUCU for about 11 years but honestly, we live on the North side so it is already very inconvenient to visit that branch for teller transactions, let alone to be treated like that. Maybe it is time we switch banks. This is not the first awkward/uncomfortable teller transaction we have had at this branch. There are many other better/more accomodating financial institutions to choose from....

Long term bank customer, since the early 90s. The bank changed the terms of my checking account and did not notify me. They began deducting an inactivity fee until the account was zeroed out. Then they closed the account. All without notifying me. The website is terrible and implements non-standard and unnecessarily cumbersome security measures. The usability is extremely poor as well. I tried to call IUCU and found that their phone tree is designed to steer you away from human contact at all costs. When I ultimately did reach someone who could help me, the agent was incompetent and rude. I would strongly advise against using this bank at all costs.
