Purchased an item which was the wrong size & the staff I dealt with at James Dant were brilliant, I cannot speak highly enough of them. They sorted out custom cost & offered to reimburse the shipping fees as it was a genuine mistake. I would have no hesitation in buying from James Dant again.

Sells products without super clear messaging on final purchase pages that things are final sale. The first time I saw the words 'final sale' were when the goods arrived. Your product and purchase pages should be clearly marked with the words 'final sale' or 'no refunds'. Users should not have to navigate away from these pages to understand that. It's an incredibly poor user experience. If anyone wants to buy the shoes they won't let me return. Notice how on the ebay page it clearly says 'No returns accepted". Ain't that great.

Customer service from James Dant is as good as it gets for retail. The companies they carry are fantastic too. I highly recommend buying from these guys, great store, great products, and that’s why I’ll continue to do so.

We tried to stop by in May of 2022 on a Saturday. People were inside but would not open the door. They just kept looking away. We finally noticed two 8.5 x 11 signs that said an appt was necessary to shop. WTH? IT'S SATURDAY. What kind of business can survive with this preposterous policy? And the fact that no one would even come to the door to discuss their d*** policy is horrible customer service. We spend a lot of money on men's clothing but will not be back. Good luck with that.

Drove all the way down from Warsaw only to find out they are open by appointment only. They need to update this on Google because Google is showing them open from 11-5 with no mention of “by appointment only”. I now see that it’s on their website, but how often do you visit a business’ website before visiting the store?

I recently purchased an Iron Heart jacket online and couldn’t be more pleased with the whole experience. I love the personal descriptions of the items, sizing examples and pics. Why can’t more shops do this? It takes a lot of the guesswork out of sizing and just makes online shopping a more pleasant experience. I highly recommend this shop.

This place carries really nice brands, the price was right on, and I’m all for supporting little companies whenever possible. I know they don’t control the shipping companies and ultimately it was my own fault for not reading/fully understanding their little shipping manifesto but it definitely took the starch out of the whole experience getting hosed down for 100$ by UPS on a 160$ order for an international package (to Canada) I can neither return or exchange.It's funny, if google offered ratings out of 10, I would have given a 7 and anybody reading this would see that the company is fine, but just to be extra careful about shipping. However, after reading the response to this, as someone who works in luxury retail and have to ship internationally quite frequently, if your international buyers' experience is ultimately affected and hindered by a lack of return/exchange policy and is not straightforward or simple for your customers, then they will just shop elsewhere. As I clearly will going forward.

Wanted to check this place out and schedule an appointment. Then, I read the reviews and realized the owner may find it difficult to handle criticism. So I thought I would give a preconceived review, and then review once I actually have the James Dant experience. I totally get striving for 5 stars, but the customer experience is what it is. James Dant is by far my favorite place to shop for clothing. They curate high quality goods at a great value - especially if you’re lucky enough to snag something from their sale section. You can tell that the shop owner, Tommy, is very passionate and selective about the goods he brings to the shop as he personally models the clothes and produces super high quality, detailed photos, making online shopping so much better. I’m from Charlotte, NC and look forward to a visit in person and love the fact that they are by appointment only - allowing you to shop comfortably in a more private setting. Was in town from North Carolina for business and wanted to check out the store. When I’m traveling I enjoy going to some of the local men’s clothing shops to shop. When I got to the store, the door was locked and a sign was on the door saying you must make an appointment and only two people would be allowed at a time and you must wear a mask. I am fine with wearing a mask, but an appointment? Seems a little overboard. I hate that I couldn’t shop here because I really wanted to buy some things. Maybe they are going out of business?

10/10 experience every time I go into this store / purchase online. These guys got me into the high quality / heritage style clothing game, and never going back. One of the coolest stores you will ever walk into.
