If you're getting canned, refrigerated or frozen food as well as drinks and candy and health products you're in the right store. If you're wanting fresh veggies and fruit, you will want to go somewhere else. Every single piece of vegetable and fruit looks absolutely disgusting. They should immediately seize selling veggies until they have them fresh. Every piece of anything has black spots and the greens have even changed to gray. I've never seen that before until coming here. The only reason people shop here is because it's the only big grocery store in the neighborhood. Anywhere else is 15-30 minutes away. The Mexican grocery stores have better veggies and fruits and are always fresh. I don't advise you shop here unless it's your last resort.

I can't believe how bad it's gotten at Krogers. It's dirty. Very! And they have shopping carts that randomly lock up inside the store which you need to find an employee to unlock. Good luck with that! They couldn't make it any more uninviting if they tried. I went to two eastside Krogers this week and the same mess was evident both places. They aren't even trying anymore.

This is the most important business in our neighborhood but I hate going there because of the long checkout lines. 20 minutes is not uncommon, whether that be self-checkout or at a cashier. Kroger's cost-cutting has made the "experience" something dreadful. As I guess they want us to, we've opted for delivery, but that isn't as good as it could be because you can't order, say, a steak. This store is frequently out of common items like Kroger brand pop.I have heard this is the busiest Kroger in Indiana, which makes it even more frustrating that they put up in-aisle displays that prevent one from getting around the store easily.

The "nice" Kroger, it's usually a madhouse here. Lots of people and narrow aisles. If you enjoy grocery shopping in the leisurely sense, you won't have a good time here. Kroger of course offers healthier options at this location while neglecting the folks at the Linwood location. It is what it is but it shouldn't be this way.

Always closed earlier than their posted hours. Always understaffed causing lines longer than any other grocery store I've been to. Don't waste your time. Go anywhere else.

This store is always understaffed and the lines are ridiculously long. Shelves often empty. Often no baggers. It's in a more urban setting. If you go 8 miles down the road in a more affluent area the opposite is true. The staff is nice put clearly overworked and understaffed. It feels like this place is stigmatized given is location and clientele. Kroger you should do and be better.

True rating is really ZERO!! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This store (10th & Shortridge - doesn't care about it's customers (even those that have shopped there since it opened). My elderly mother has been using the on-line grocery ordering since COVID hit and they can never seem to get anything right. Today she went to pick up her order of over $100 dollars and didn't even end up getting 1/2 of her order. When I called the store to complain because now she had to go out for a 2nd time to pick up what she should have gotten the first time, I didn't even get an apology from the Manager (which I pointed out to her, then finally received an apology). When I asked why they can never supply my Mom with a paper receipt I got a lousy excuse of because she pays for her groceries on-line (I guess Kroger looks at this as a bad thing that they get paid ahead of time for groceries), but somehow initially they were able to provide paper receipts at the beginning of the Pandemic and yet the stores on Southport Road and in Greenwood can provide paper receipts. Here's the real reason they can't provide a receipt - the people are lazy at this store and can't be bothered with loyal customers who spend hundreds of dollars at their store every month. When I asked to get the name of the Regional or District Manager to escalate my multiple concerns, the Manager at this Kroger didn't feel "comfortable" with giving out that person's name. No wonder - if I was a 'higher up' at Kroger and wasn't doing my job, I wouldn't want my name to be given out either. And don't bother calling the "customer service" line at Kroger - because somehow they don't know the higher ups names either - how convenient!! So like I said do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Bottom line - Kroger doesn't care about their customers or their safety. I think I'm going to be encouraging my Mom to start shopping at Meijer with their new on-line shopping, since I know Meijer understands customer service and is not afraid to provide any management members names and contact information (hmmm - good customer service and the higher ups don't hide - I think that pretty much sums it up)!

It is just no fun to have to go to this kroger. The parking lot is WAY TOO SMALL. There is no enforcement of driving in the parking lot with people stopping wherever they please -including driving lanes- and there are always cops/security guards on duty. Inside the store doesn't feel very clean, it's almost always crowded, and I struggle to find many brands I'm used to seeing at other Krogers. I can get necessities here and I will probably only go for convenience when I don't have time to drive another five minutes further, but I'd rather go to anywhere else.

My child’s coat and school backpack were stolen out of my car around 3pm. We were parked about four spaces from the entrance. The staff didn’t seem to care much when I brought it to their attention.
