Cute place, but the owner who was working was not friendly at all! Very shocked at how cold she was. I didn’t even want to buy anything because of how she acted. Not friendly AT all! You would think with a place like that you would greet your customers with a friendly smile. Poor service if you ask me.

This was such a cute store. I Googled them and was looking forward to seeing what this boutique had to offer, because quite frankly, the big department stores get old. However, my experience was far from great.
I walked in and asked if anyone was around. I did not hear or see anyone, but saw the store dog. When I finally saw the store owner, she rolled her eyes and said, "yes we are open." I asked if she had any particular items I was on the hunt for, hoping she might be able to provide a little direction for a potential customer who'd never been in her store. She stood behind her counter, scanned the store for a couple of seconds and said she did not. She then looked at me and just stared. It was intense and awkward.
I do my best to lead with empathy because I understand not everyone may be having a good day, or some people just come from different vantage points. Instead of leaving immediately, I tried to minimize the discomfort, engaging just little bit, also walking a few steps in her store to show some level of interest. But there was no interaction from her at all. When I opened up the door to leave, there was no, "thank you for coming," enjoy your day," "come back and see us." Of course you are not obligated to say anything at all, and I recognize that. Yet, in this time, when consumers have so many options, and the spaces that we are part of have integrated or are beginning to integrate digital/AI into their practices, why wouldn't you demonstrate the basics of a smile and kindness? I thought long and hard about saying something to her in the moment and ultimately decided I wouldn't. My manners got the best of me, and I was honestly a little shy to share my thoughts in a respectful way. Instead of causing any unnecessary exchanges between us, I decided to let the power of my words speak for themselves on this forum.
A rude engagement and lack of customer service from someone who could've been a customer was disheartening. Green money and plastic go a long way, no matter who you are. As a store owner or store attendant, pretending to show some level of interest through small talk, is the bare minimum. I quite honestly don't believe I would've bought any of the items I was searching for even if they had been in the store. Everyone has a bad day, but goodness grief. In an empty store, one would think that any customer walking in, she would have showed some level of civility.
The owner can respond back on this review and say her piece, though this was my experience that I stand by. I was highly disgusted. My review is based on my interaction and how in just a few minutes, I was left feeling disengaged and disappointed. I hope others don't get treated like I did. I hope a change is made, and some level of accountability is taken.

I love coming to this store for a treat for myself! The items are budget friendly but consciously curated to be on trend and high quality. A number of pieces I have bought from this store ALWAYS receive compliments when I wear them out. The shop dog Charlie is also such a sweetheart. Be sure to add this on to your local shopping scene routine in Broad Ripple.

I love going to Lark & Lily, it's one of my favorite boutiques to go to to treat myself! I have also found great gifts (cookbooks, bracelets, candles) when shopping for Christmas and birthdays! The clothes are super comfy (I almost kept a sweater that I intended for my sister) and stylish and the owner is always very friendly and helpful! I've also gotten the best beach bag that I use all the time!

So disappointed. I saw it was 5 stars and I love supporting local businesses. I went in with my service animal and was receiving the dirtiest looks from the owner. So rude. I asked a question and tried starting conversation and did not feel welcomed in the store. I left immediately. So disappointed this was because of my service animal that I take everywhere else with me. Especially in an area like broadripple, everyone brings their animals everywhere with them. Will not be returning to this boutique where everything looks like cheap china clothing.

I stumbled onto this terrific boutique while exploring Broadripple. Now a regular and when I need seasonal clothing changes I shop here first. Really nice clothing. Quality but reasonable pricing. Not too young and not to old of styling and quite versatile. Personalized shopping without the crowd at chain stores. Stop in as a destination any time you are in the area!
