Bought an entertainment center here. Took the day off work and rented a truck to go get it. Called in advance and made sure it would be ready. Get on my way and when I get there Ope sorry the elevator is down. But they promised me NO WORRIES because they’ll take care of it. Now it’s finally been refunded because they in fact did not take care of anything. Larry and Haley with the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Refused to even escalate my issue. This is insanity. All because Macys messed up. Imagine that I’ve lost more money than the furniture costed initially. And now I’m out the furniture too. Never again. I’ll never shop a Macys again. Oh and the icing on the cake? She wanted to refund my money in a Macys gift card and mail it. Like I would ever spend a dime of my money in ANY of your stores again.
ETA I actually haven’t received my refund yet. Who knows how long. Or when. No amount of time give.

i had a bad experience, because this white old lady was criticizing and looking at us, also said “these people” referring to me and my friend group. very disappointed and offended. she’s in the men’s fragrances.

I really like shopping at Macy's but this was an extreme mess making it difficult to shop. No real direction or flow to women's clothing section.

Of course this is a great place to shop. It is also an example of corporate greed. All the designer clothes, bags, shoes, etc. have inflated prices. The store is not for the average wage earner. Shirts for $200 is out of reach for so many people. Shoes for hundreds of dollars and handbags for thousands of dollars are a Barbie dream.
The store is clean. The employees are friendly and it is a wonderful experience to shop here. The clothes are all nicely hung, and neatly folded, and easy to try on. I enjoyed shopping here!

Just left from there they had no cashiers at the register for clothing which lead us to down stairs and omg the attitudes of the staff is like they are just there to hold down the ground and talk I instead got irritated and went somewhere else I’d rather not

I ordered a pair of light up shoes from Macy's website before Chrsitmas and packed them as a Christmas gift for my little one, which was the only thing that he asked for Christmas. He never wore the shoes until Christmas day. He wore them for only one day when we went to Church, and on the way home the shoes just stop lighting up. I requested the return online. Since I only purchased for one month, the website just gave me a QR code and asked me to drop off the shoes at the nearby macy's store. I took my little one and tried to return them at the store of E 82nd St. An old caucasian man received us. I showed him the shoes and the receipt, and explained that the shoes just stopped lighting up. Regardless that the shoes only been purchased for a month and the products were defective, he asked me:"Will you buy them if I take them back? They were worn. We cann't take them back and sell them again."
I don't even know to defend myself at that moment and I don't want to cause a conflict in front my little one.
However, I am really upset about the situation. Macy's has 60 days free return policy. The website already accepted our return. The shoes were defective product. The electronic part of the shoes were not functioning properly within one month. Even if they were taken back without being worn, the store couldn't sell them again because they weren't working properly.

Employees were helpful. As everyone knows, they do a great job of separating merchandise by categories. You gotta checkout the Discount Area for some great deals. I love their jewelry selections as well. I must admit, this is the only store I ever use for lingerie and underwear 🤪

1 person in jewelry and she will only wait on 1 person at a time. Only needed an item out of a case. Won’t be back.

Love how they rip you off, I bought a pair of $30 jeans for granddaughter and wasn’t allowed to exchange or return because it was a clearance item. Never had that problem before with any big name store.

Poor experience tonight, and we frequent here. We shop every department including backstage. The cashier Yolonda in backstage treated my family and I poorly. I didn't even have the energy to ask for a manager considering how long we'd already been there. Very passive aggressive and she must've skipped her vitamins as well. Clearly tired, agitated and hates lifein general. Macy's is too damn expensive to be treated that way.

They don’t honor the price tags!!!!
I went there on Black Friday and I found a great discounted boots but when I got to the cashier, the lady on the shoe department said that the yellow tag was wrong and she refused to charge me that price. It’s very disappointing that they put some merchandise on discount and then a cashier declined to honor it.
